Sack Dhoni!!!!
by anand bhatia on Mar 26, 2012 10:51 PM  | Hide replies

sounds wild to some, but it is true as he is creating all bad influences in team. He had created divide by sidelining Shewag & his supporters like Yuvi, Ghambhir etc. Also time again he had supported bad players like Rohit, Raina, Praveen Kumar. Ex remembers Test match against England where Zaheer was replaced by RP Singh and the first over bowled by him became biggest joke among all test cricket lovers. RP could hardly bowl right length in that over. He was choosed only because of his proximity with Dhoni. Many talents like Amit Mishra have been ignored because they don't butter Mr Dhoni. We should remove this bad influence to create right balance in team

Dhoni has lots of complaints about others for fielding, but can he tell us how many diving catches he had taken, how many stumpings he had done, how many centuries he had made while batting. He is most cunning fox, will promote himself if situation is comfortable. Will demotes himself if it is tensed. T20 World cup and One world cup was won by Yuvraj and Mr Dhoni had no contribution except finals where Gambhir and Kohli had already laid victory for Team India. Some one should tell rediff that don't publish paid articles sponsored by Mr Dhoni to fool us around

We can't have a better captain than Dhoni at present. Dhoni is making is concern loud and clear, that he does't need senior players. It is just seniors who create unnecessary fuss.

Nothing is wrong with Team Anna.

He is a potential threat to the country looters.

So there is something wrong these days with country looters.

Anna ji, Let all the Pol Parties gang up together to pressurise you.

Never mind.

It is a sign of frightening.

And only culprits are frightened at the sight of Police.

India can't have a better captain than Dhoni "at present". I don't see any valid point made against Dhoni.

My comment against Sachin is not fancy - it is a fact. You need minimum of 2-3 years to build a team for world cup. By then, Sachin will be 41 and Sehwag 38. So, certainly they are not in the scheme of things for the next world cup preparation. Only if we drop them now, the younger players will gain enough experience to play in the world cup. If these two retire after two years, we'll not have enough time to find their replacement. This is simple logic. But you need to come out of Sachin fancy to understand the logic.

:-)... Good. So we must forget "perform
Or perish" and instead focus on who is young and who is old etc.
BTW, why not to have a young captain??

The only way out for Team India is to sack Sachin. No other go.
Will selectors have guts to do?

Our batting is not good either to blame bowlers alone.
Keeping Gambhir in the team is no excuse to keep Sachin in the team who is nothing but a liability.
My comment does apply to Sehwag too. However, at least Gambhir has time to regain form. But certainly, these two don't.

Make a new team with max age 30 right now so that the maximum age is 33 in 2015. In Australia, the so called seniors were very slow on the field.

Winning the CUP
by Tropical boy on Mar 26, 2012 09:25 PM  | Hide replies

Winninng the CUP is just one step. Maintaing that and being repected as the world champion it the bigger thing.

83's team, after winning the cup became an even stronger team. They were one of the top contenders for 87 too.

Has this team done that in the past year? a big NOOOO...It was as if they were(in fact the whole nation was obsessed with this) just lookin for somebody to achieve the records and in the process lost almost all of the series and lost all the respect as a team. It was as if they just wanted the records to be acheived meanwhile forgetting the actual cause of team winning everything. Team became second.

They need to change it.

In Australian big grounds, if we need to be a contendender.

1. We need batsman who can score runs by running, ie, who can convert 2s to 3s and 1s to 2s.
2. Fielders who can prevent the 3s to 2s and 2s to 1s.
3. Need fast bowling and spinninh allrounders who can contain at the death and score at least 20-30 runs every match.

Current team lacks all this. If this is the way, we won't go beyound round 1. Hope it all falls in place in the next 3 years.

If Team India still continues to carry over aged players and prefers to lose matches against minnows for personal landmarks of seniors, then this team is further destined to be doomed.

Team India -> Team Sachin
by manu yadav on Mar 26, 2012 08:49 PM  | Hide replies

Seems like the single goal for most Indian fans is to see Sachin batting and making records. So, Team Sachin(oh srry Team India) is only there to create platform for Sachin to make records and nothing else.
Wining matches or cups doesn't matters at all as long as SACHIN is in the team (He can obviously make many more records in coming 10 years as there is no one in selection committee or BCCI who has guts to ask him about his form in last one year and drop him from a single match against his will..... and his will seems to keep on playing till he is on death bed ... doesn't matter if he can make even one run or not, he can still enjoy playing for Nation ;) )...
Hail Sachin!!!! Hail Sachin's Fan!!! Hail Foolishtan!!!

I guess Sachin's records are better than India winning cups... Cos with this bowling attack we are not going to win a single cup.. So why not have one of our players be on top with records that no one can even touch!?? ;-)
