He was architect of change in Indian cricket. He fought for the players and their place in the team.In fact he solidified the foundations and brought it up. Subsequent captains have had a better launching pad there after. He was the strongest captain we had and used resources at his disposal efficiently. It was unfortunate that he had to go the way he went. Till date we have not had a replacement in the middle order for him in test cricket. Virat is the only one that has shown great promise and will need focus to achieve greatness. Hope, he will do us proud.
