In tests, - 51 centuries. India won 20, drawn were 20 and lost 11. Winning %ge is 66%.

He was played for his own record not for the country.Australian series and yesterday's match had lost becuase of his.Compare his average with other players.Dhoni,Raina had given good average.Because of his century he spoiled everthing.
Indian cricket is all about Advtg Dollars BCCI had to start the era of MatchFixing to revive cricket after 2007 WorldCup Debacle. They needed a guy who cud be dependable & controllable & chose Dhoni Now Dhoni realized that if Sachin Scores a century & India wins, ALL credit goes to Sachin, no matter how well others played & he then cant overshadow Sachin in popularity & Advtg. So Dhoni started throwing matches when Sachin had a 100 unless they were absolutely critical. Look at the stats of Sachin 100 ending in Indias win before & After Dhoni was captain
Dhoni keeps on insisting on playing weak/new players so they can be easily manipulated to throw matches. Even ydays match, check scorecard from 35th over. It was Dinda, Pathan & Praveen Kumar that leaked runs so heavily to lose a match that should have been easily won. If they hadnt leaked those runs on Dhonis order, they would have been thrown out. By losing match of Sachins 100th century, Dhoni fulfilled his aim of marginalizing the impact of this event. So all HAIL DHONI, the master Fixer before you hail Sachin the Master Blaster
BTW all these epithets are also Advertising catchphrases (Master Blaster,Nawab of Najafgardh, The Wall, Very Very Special Laxman)
Like all other previous Hundreds,this hundred scored after 33 innings has once again prooved to be of no use to India.So,the Jinxs Continues for India with Tendulkar's Hundreds.So, Though he represented India he played for himself. With Match fixing rampant in Cricket, money is there whether runs scored are 0/5/10 or Hundred.

Also, the Century he scored was. against Bangladesh.Its not a big or good Hundred to deserve sky high praise.

aftab, who are u to ask him to hang his boots? sachin will take a call himself, if u dont wish to watch him play its yr wish, but for most of us we will always enjoy watching him plays regardless of what he scores. like they say enjoy till he is around.
The whole nation is rightly celebrating Sachin's hundredth 100.But, they forget that India lost the ODI to the minnows Bangladesh.Strike rate of Sachin was much below the strike rates of top teo Bangladeshi batsmen. While Sachin reached a personal milestone,his slow batting prevented India from scoring 40-50 more runs.Now,it is doubtful whether India will reach the final.
It matters little if I get 100 in Maths when I fail in two other subjects and declared "failed" by the Board.

Yes true. Atleast he scored a century, playing almost half of the overs and scoring just 1/3rd the team total. What a selfish A-----e.

In cricket,scoring a century is not enough.Sometimes two people score centuries but consume too many overs and the team lose. We Indians hate to work as a team.But cricket is a team game and you have to rise above personal interests,friend.

yah and what were the guys on the other end doing ? playing marbles, if the team had projected a 280 as a good ttl, then they achieved it, what will you say when aus lost after making 434, u sachin baiters hv only 1 reason if india loses and that is sachin and if we win it is always others. grow up

dont blame runs, as he made 114, out of only 147 ball, so where u see slow century and also, the score is 290, which is a huge score for chasing! but the problem, is how weak team bangladesh win and that too this particular match, so i am bound to think that match was fixed for sachins 100th century, let sachin make 100, we will loose the match, this was the understanding, even if unwritten and not settled with money!
