Legacy and selfishnes come together

Though it is a legacy to hit 100th ton but these hundreds never helped the team to win...Infact last hundred was at the cost of loss of many matches...It is the time for Sachin uncle to go...

Hi Paki...see this...

Gawd 100 statistics for all those who care---
1) ODI- 49 x100, 34 India won. No other batsman comes close to him including cheating from down under.
2) Tests- 51 x100, 20 India won with 20 draw. Safe to say when gawd scores a century, less likely India will lose.

Mission accomplished for Dhoni
by Unapologetic Intellectual on Mar 17, 2012 02:17 AM

Indian cricket is all about Advtg Dollars
BCCI had to start the era of MatchFixing to revive cricket after 2007 WorldCup Debacle. They needed a guy who cud be dependable & controllable & chose Dhoni
Now Dhoni realized that if Sachin Scores a century & India wins, ALL credit goes to Sachin, no matter how well others played & he then cant overshadow Sachin in popularity & Advtg.
So Dhoni started throwing matches when Sachin had a 100 unless they were absolutely critical.
Look at the stats of Sachin 100 ending in Indias win before & After Dhoni was captain

Dhoni keeps on insisting on playing weak/new players so they can be easily manipulated to throw matches.
Even ydays match, check scorecard from 35th over. It was Dinda, Pathan & Praveen Kumar that leaked runs so heavily to lose a match that should have been easily won. If they hadnt leaked those runs on Dhonis order, they would have been thrown out.
By losing match of Sachins 100th century, Dhoni fulfilled his aim of marginalizing the impact of this event.
So all HAIL DHONI, the master Fixer before you hail Sachin the Master Blaster

BTW all these epithets are also Advertising catchphrases (Master Blaster,Nawab of Najafgardh, The Wall, Very Very Special Laxman)

Sachin has scored more centuries on bouncy wickets than many of the celebrated cricketers who scored centuries in their entire career :) if you have doubt on number of matches played see Averages :)

nothing so great
by Mahendra on Mar 17, 2012 12:23 AM  | Hide replies

out of this 100, nearly 70 have come on sub-continental wickets...
I wonder how much runs would Sir Viv Richards, Ponting, Lara, Kallis would have scored if they got to play 70 - 80 percent of their games on flat wickets with no swing and bounce....
Sir Viv Richards for sure would have managed to hit atleast 200 centuries if he had the luxury to play on such wickets....

But we should also consider, that he played against some of great bowlers, not against slow Indian bowlers as other batsmen get the chance.

58 of his 100 hundreds have come away from home.

out of his 49 ODI hundreds, India has won 33 matches.

out of his 51 test hundreds, 40 hundreds have contributed either towards a win or a draw.

Don't know what more a person can do? At the end of the day, it is a team game.
