Had Ojha been part of CSK, he would have got an opportunity to play. Nowadays for getting selected into Indian team, you need to play for CSK for obvious reasons

should be revamped immediately by pushing out politicians and industrialists like Rajeev Shukla and Srinivasan out and include ex cricketers like Kapildev, Sunny Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar and Anil Kumble. Even in the States all politicians should get out of the cricketing bodies. It looks silly when you see Jatleys, Modis and Yadavs heading cricket bodies in the states which is nothing to do with their maain profession.

sorry if i offend u buddy, but what i can think of is the cricketing legends u mentioned are more politicians and biased compared to real politicians. Do u really think these politicians take decision on cricketing matters? no they do employ and use skills of the very legendary cricketers u mentioned....if u give chance to these bloody senior cricketers(one or two exceptions like Kapil)they will always play their favourates...e.q. sunil gavaskar will not let Sachin retire till his son become captain and take agarkar again in team...sorry if i offend u...these are just my opinions...

GET RID OF POLITICIANS
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Mar 05, 2012 12:50 PM

In the BCCI - they are a source for all corruption in the system .With hand in glove of businessmen IPL A circus becomes the criteria for selection .The capatain with eye only on product endorsement - has his own favourites. The system is rotten .Create a new body called Cricket India and bury the BCCI -A dream if possible with all its member associations . Bring back old passionate people even if funding is to be done by government or tax playing public.

what a mess
by ancil george on Mar 05, 2012 12:32 PM  | Hide replies

this mess is the creation of BCCI.
The team should be called BCCI team and not Indian team anymore. Why is Govt allowing the nations name to be used with BBCI's team? BCCI acts like a private club(not answerable to anyone)

GET RID OF NON PERFORMERS
by Ashok Kumar on Mar 05, 2012 12:31 PM  | Hide replies

Our outstanding performances at home where our pitches are prepared to suit our players who play in front of huge friendly crowds blinds us to our poor technique against genuine pacers. Let us go back three decades when genuine players like Gavaskar ripped apart world class pacers & were paid paltry sums compared to billionaire players today. We should get rid of obese, non performing & unfit players. First to go should be Sachin. He doesn't have the grace to quit on his own. Like our politicians, he want to keep a hold on Indian Cricket. iF A NEW TEAM LOSES NO PROBLEM BECAUSE ANY WAY WE ARE LOSING BUT ATLEAST WE ARE PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE.
