the world might come to an end. the sun might fail to rise. all these things are likely. but tendulkar retiring is something that is not even remotely likely.

is sachin great?
by naveen akash on Mar 05, 2012 03:22 PM  | Hide replies

1) Sachin played for his personal records from the beginning at the cost of the team ( ie. the team looses when Sachin is the best performer)
2)Sachin never had champion's attitude
3) had problems against high quality bowling attacks all through his career
4)Values his hindreds more than team chievement
5)Never had any memorable innings. Has gotten only lousy useless knocks.
6)Begged his colleagues to win a world cup as he could not.
7)even after plyaing for over 20 years still does not retire from oneday cricket and does not give opportunities to youngsters.
8) claimed that oneday cricket be stoped and made into a two innigs 25 over game fearing that someone will over take his hundred's tally
9)Throught 90s what was india's performance inspite of a good team and sachin's presence in the team? Only after players such as Sehwag, laxman, dravid, Ganguly came in did india started performing well
10)Sachin has misused the popularity innocent Indians have on him to make his personal records. imagin Sachin playing these knocks in australia, He would have been kicked out of the team long back.
Why Sachin is being hailed
1) he is from mumbai
2) There is huge money invested on him by corporates in the form of advertisements who want to promote him ( media promotes him saying he is the greatest player) while he is nowhere close to players such as gavaskar,Viv, Malcolm Marshal, Wasim Akram and many others
3)our corruption friendly country Like people like him

Dude, if Sachin wanted to play for personal records, he wouldn't have opted himself out of England and WI ODIs that happened on India Soil. Grow up! The job that Sachin does is very challenging. going out of form is part of every sport. Btw, use your sensibilities and find out how many matches India won when he scored centuries or fifties. During late 90s, it was called Tendulkar's team. He got out.. Team collapsed. He was/is too good. He loves the sport more than anybody who played the sport else he wouldn't have acheived what he achieved. That is passion! 22 years of diet, healthy lifestyle with lot of discipline. Be like that for one week and talk! You represent the pathetic indians who react rather than respond. Each time one is dropped after just one series, we wouldn't have seen a Sehwag, a Yuvraj, a Zaheer et al. Pathetic that India in general doesn't know how to see sports.

In the late ninety Indian team is completely dependent on Sachin . But 15 years gone. This is 2012 , Should our team completely Dependent on Sachin. In Last 1/2 year we really do not see any match winning performance from Sachin. This is high time for Sachin to retire?

One more question, If Sachin is not from Mumbai (Read Sehwag) will he get the same treatment .

"team looses when Sachin is the best performer". Sachin scored 117 & 91 in last CB series & India won the final. Your 1st point itself is wrong, hence no need to read further.

The best performers in the match are the bowlers who took wickets regularly. What if australia scored about 6 runs per over? Would india have won the games? not at all/ Sachin was not the best performer but the bowlers on both the occassions

You are wrong. Better quote stats. Of the approx 48 ODI centuries that Tendulkar has scored so far, only 13 such three-figure scores have ended up in a losing cause for India, while in 33 matches, where the batting maestro has gone past 100, India have emerged victors. Secondly, across all teams, yes you read me right..across all teams in this game, sachin has scored the maximum number of tons for a winning cause. The second best is probably jayasurya with 24, which is 9 centuries behind sachin.

You are smoking something good mate... Last I checked cricket was a team game, what happened to Raina, Sehwag, Jadeja, Sharma and to a certain extent Gambhir in CBA series. By so called "young guns" not performing, the pressure comes wight back at Sachin (on top of all the extra pressure he carries anyway).
Wake up and get real. Time to realsie ho hard it is to live such a life for 20 years. I bet, you won't be able to do this for more than a month !!!

mr. naveen i think your statistics are not upto the mark, for your kind information, the other players are getting the same as the sachin gets, so why you guys are always blaming him for the debacle. if you are not aware, then please let me clarify, he is the highest run getter in the world cup india have won, at that point of time where was your all this nonsense. All the playing eleven have made this team's performance so worse. so next time when you are saying anything about anyone, then please go with the statistics.

If u had sense, u would blame our bowling for that. Any player scores a century at a quick pace and his team loses, people who know cricket look into the bowling flaws :)
