Stupid analysis.Issues with slog overs exists with all teams. If you don't take early wickets,no bowler can control the last overs.Australia in their prime had more stars with more egos.As for rotation policy, even with out this the results were the same.Youngsters are in the team on merit and need to be encouraged and nurtured. Not to be blamed and dropped immediately on failures. IPL and too much money may be one reason.A win if it happens,is very good;if it doesn't,well it doesn't matter much.Injuries should be avoided at all costs to be fit for IPL.Everything else can wait. This is the current state of mind of the players barring a few. Dhoni wears an indifferent look(when he was winning it was cool but no longer)The passion and commitment or the fear of failure you see on the faces of Jayawardene and Clarke is missing. The only exception is Kohli. Technical short comings against the fast moving and lifting ball on lively pitches is one reason which is too glaring to miss.Virat being the exception again(Sachin I don't know, may be he is slowing down) Let us not beat around the bush.Let the players get used to fast lively pitches at home and the right results will come even if it means a few losses initially at home and lesser crowds and losses in revenue to the BCCI.
Indians have proved over the years that we are below average in sports.Olympics is the best example.Cricket has just followed the tradition. Indians are good in arts, not sports.Just like an individual cannot be good in everything,a nation also cannot be good in everything. Only a miracle can save Indian cricket.Miracles do not happen often.

Ponting did not retire. He was dropped. In fact, officially he still hasn't announced his retirement. Having said that, I agree Sachin should retire from ODIs and focus on Tests.
First and foremost, the present Indian team is not cricket players they are businessmen and wants to make money as much as possible. First we should stop playing IPL matches hereafter ,make all the players to play Ranji trophy and Duleep trophies compulsarily from their regions irrespective of what big player he maybe .Drop Sachin from all forms of Cricket No advertisements should be allowed for the player and every one should depend the cricket for their living so that they know what for they have to play cricket. Now all the player feel that whether they play or not their position is cemented. Even with this junk player we are loosing the matches, drop all these so called hero and make them to sit at home watch the cricket through TV, give chance to all youngsters who are willing to selve the IPL matches.

Dropping Sachin? You need guts for that and our selectors, as has been proved again and again, are more of jokers than selectors, now including Mohinder Amarnath. Look at youngsters, they have the will and the zeal to play positive cricket, which Sachin, Sehwag and Laxman in particular lack. But Srikkanth and company will not listen, will not see and will not do anything. They are happy making money in their own way!
The media buildup and the money they earn seems to have no relation to their on their performance on the field. We speak of blooding new blood which never really happens as some players with past performance or captain's confidence in them keeps them in. Raina has been a big disappointment. Rohit Sharma'as confidence was never allowed to grow and Manoj was not given any chance. Sehwag did not deserve to be in the team and having been selected did not show any responsibility other than saying "that that is the way I play". Any player with some intelligence cannot get out the same way caught at deep third man thrice. The failure to play the swinging ball has been the main reason for failure of our batsman. As for our bowlers, not bowling to the line as reqd by their field placement and the flood of runs in ODIs during the slog overs is yet not sorted out. THe fielding of our youngsters was really outstanding. Back to the fundamentals and practice is the only way we can show some resurgence. Best of luck!
BCCI has to rotate the players with youngster and select the best players and rotate and make the 2nd team, so that if their is any injuries then they can rotate the exact player in the team and build the best team. like Australia who has two best players team for every series.
Srilanka always trying hard to win. Players are giving their best every time on field. India lacks winning spirit. Money impact and stardom impact are showing up on field.
