srikkanth's next task
by fink fanther on Mar 05, 2012 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

chief selector srikkanth's next task before his term ends in september will be to bring his son aniruddha into either the t20 or odi team. thats why the selectors have not made any changes to the team for the asia cup. they will wait for the big names to flop in the asia cup, then wait for IPL. one or two decent innings from aniruddha will be enough to bring him into the team. everything will be nicely setup for him. public will want new faces, the selectors can oblige.

by manas padegaonkar on Mar 05, 2012 12:25 PM  | Hide replies

I am really surprised why rediff is keeping itself away from reporting 7 updating the audience about ongoing WSH Tournament which stars many national & international players of Hockey Arena...Hockey is our National Game so give some respect to the players who are keeping the game alive....

you see, cricket is an epidemic which unfortunately affects all other sports which require more skill. It is a sickness introduced to Indians by the British. They slowly got rid of it and started playing football seriously. Just like they divided the country before leaving, they left a game which not even 25% of the world takes seriously and made us fall behind in much more important events like the Olympics and FIFA World Cup.

every thing went wrong down under.

in all the departments india failed to perform. the foreign tours are always eye opener for the team management and bcci but again when they return home they again close their eyes and praise their so called tigers which only eat when they r served meals but do not knows hunting. Because they r not hungry. They got so much that they do not have the hunger to perform. Also the team practices on flat dead pitches and scores plenty of runs and when they go outside they feel the heat and then there r issues like injury , ego ,grouping . Bcci should take steps so that the future generations will not show the same performance

HBNperformance should be counted, not who he is or how senior he is, look how UK holding No one position in Test and T20, if you perform you are in otherwise you are out! this will make India no one again, current world champ title is- better not to talk position, title and performance way too big gap..

How India Team win the World Championship
by Sharmila Bose on Mar 05, 2012 11:50 AM  | Hide replies

Folks,

World Championship was as equal as the CWG held in Delhi. Both the participants earned winning though it has the history of loosing aborad.

Indian team was given a favourable pitch that could benefit the Indian players.. and moreover the matches were fixed to make India win. India-Pak was a good example when the Indian Illuminati of Italian race and her prince visited to see the match. The Indian winning was framed to attract Italian Lady's joy for India to make her more patriotic to the Indians who are ruled by emotions.

The huge spornsers earned ICC who is only the Event Mangaer of the Illuminati Queen sitting in England and the beneficaries from the Corporates goes to them.

and moreover the Ceremonial/original trophy was not given to the Indian Team as winner, since it was a manipulated win.

It happended the same thing with CWG. Many gold medals were won by Indian atheletes but it waited for the bills that was so expensive to be passed and later these atheletes were abused on drugs test and their medals were seized.

Another intesting that the Star players in the CWG withdrew their participation in case on security reasons, so it made easy for Indian athelets to win the sports.

All these were manipulated to squeeze the Indian funds in the name of Sports Events.

WAKE UP INDIANS. IT IS YOUR MONEY THAT IS BEING LOOTED.

Problem: Too much cricket => lack of seriousness.
Solution: Create or change a habit, one habit at a time. Each habit takes regular 21 days to form - ask McGrath.

Cricket is now a gold digging event that has numeous resouces.. Cricketers are like slaves who are AUCTIONED on High Wages.

Unless, you make it a sports from event, you will have bonded slaves and not sportspersons.

Moreover, it will be country's resources that will be drained away..

What happenned to Team India is like a Shakespearean Tragedy. They helped the external powerss to defeat themselves. None of the batsmen applied themselves... In tests they batted like T-20 and bowled without any plan. There was no strategic planning which is so essential for test cricket. the players were playing on their own... and were not playing as a team. Every player wanted to prove the point individually. Seniors gave up... very easily, probably because even the captain was not ready to plan things. In ODIs they were castled by Australia... Australian team losing 3 on the trot to Sri Lanka proves that they never wanted India in the finals. And India could have played in the finals had they tried to apply and plan the matches systematically. Let us hope for a better future.
