I'm pretty sure if Ponting had not played two 60 plus knocks at melbourne in the first test, fate of series ould have been diferent. there was not much in OZ batting. Clarke and Ponting scored more than 50% of the total runs scored.

I dont understand what you want to convey. Some players play well in ODIs and some in tests. After all, everyone of them plays for Australia. Not for India. No point in taking excuses. If Ponting was successful in ODIs some others defended Aus in ODIs. So well balanced team. That is not happening with India. Result is there to see. None of them are playing well in any of the formats.

Well said. Dhoni's batting style has no fundamentals. So those who oppose him obviously have good fundamentals. At least not mentals. Its Dhoni's style that is disastrous for Indian Cricket. See from now on at least one generation of Cricket in India suffers. Those young boys who grow up imitating MSDs style will never be worth even few Piasa anywhere except in IPL. In case of Tendulkar, see thousands of school children grew learning cricket which is what it is. The result is that we had a good decade of great Cricket till Dhoni came into Indian cricket. Because of Dhoni's impact on young boys, those budding cricketers who form current generation of young players are clearly lacking in technique, the result is already there -- an England Tour, an Aussie Tour and many more in future. So Dhoni should be hanged in public for murdering the art of cricket.
Very simple ... laziness to adapt to new playing conditions, arising due to a secure feeling that comes with loads of ill-gotten money from IPL. Our cricketers don't love the game and don't care about national pride. Rather they love the fame, money and gir1s.
