What went right for MiB
by Narayanan Mahalingam on Mar 06, 2012 05:54 PM

The list of wrongs are too much on a long tour. To help readers read the contents quickly, write what went right for India.

Maybe a couple of paragraphs would do

ODIs have been won on the strength of all rounders.

back in 83 , 85 , 2011 & in between the one -one series , 90% of victories have come in due to all rounders.
kapil , madan, binny , amarnath , ravi shastri, prabhakar , robin singh , irfan pathan; yuvraj singh kind of all rounders are essential for odi contests. here we had one genuine all rounder irfan pathan who for strange reasons was brought in pretty late. the other so called all rounder Ashwin did reasonably well.

unless for ODIs , you have at least 2 all rounders playing in the 11 , india should forget about victories.

let them play for money , passion , pride etc but don't talk of performance. tragedy of indian cricket

Dhoni and his bloated ego plus Srikanth support

As long as this happens Indian cricket will only go down.

The only outcome of Australian tour- The two threats to Dhoni captaincy eliminated. Sehwag out of team and Gambhir stripped of vice captaincy.

My friend,

Have you ever seen a "Captain", carrying bottles & feeding players,

on ground?.

He does have humility

sachin 100th centuary costs Australia series
by laxmi reddy on Mar 05, 2012 11:43 PM  | Hide replies

infact i was discussing and challenged with my friends that if Sachin did not reach his 100 intr centuary(where Ashwin hits a centuary vs WI)against WI we will deffinately lose Test series to Ausis in Ausis,vs Ausis.Sachin did very blunder not plying against WI in Windis(hoping that he will reach his 100 INT Centuary against ENG in ENG).That costs us mostly in overseas performance.Sachin is gr8 batsman but he did blunder in recent past.

Indians have proved over the years that we are below average in sports.Olympics is the best example.Cricket has just followed the tradition.
Indians are good in arts, not sports.Just like an individual cannot be good in everything,a nation also cannot be good in everything.
Only a miracle can save Indian cricket.Miracles do not happen often.
