One thing I like about Indian Cricket
by carazon on Jun 20, 2012 08:51 AM  | Hide replies

This is one thing I like about Indian cricket. When it comes to popularity and money India is at the center. Foreign cricketers have to play in India and with India to become rich and famous. This is contrary to most other fields where talented and hardworking Indians have to work under foreigners not even half as talented and qualified as they are to earn some meagre salary. Now it is the responsibility of Indian cricketers and officials to give back there 100% to the game.

Where do you think all that money comes from? You and me fanatically following a lazy game where everyone just waits for the ball to come to him 90% of the time. And then we wonder why India does not produce world class athletes. There is nothing to be proud of here. I wish we were instead fanatic followers of some more athletic sport.

you did not get my point. Whether cricket is good or not and how well Indian cricketers are are other issues. But Indians have made India the centre of cricket.

This Forbes guys are really smart. They would not stop at anything to get information. Somehow they have contact with the "Bookies", and they got information on "Match Fixing". As the Captain, Dhoni natually enjoys the maximum share of Match Fixing Loot and it is no surprise he leads most of the sportmen.

you seee everything with bad eyes. YOu have not concept how a sprts man can earn the money, for example through endorsement. The only thing you understsnd is corruption and match fixing.YOu do not believe in merit or efficiency. YOur children will definetely spoil because of your negative look of every thing.

1.The highest paid boxer Floyd_Mayweather Jr_who tops the list is in jail for domestic violence. He has been to prison atleast 3 times.

2.Floyd earned 85 million by fighting only 2 times in last one year and both times he was in the ring for less than 1 hours.So,2 hours work in a year made him rich by 85 million dollars.

2.Boxing,Golf,Football and tennis players are highest paid.

3.There are 30 football players in the top 100.

4.Highest endorsement money is paid by shoe companies_such as Adidas,Nike,Reebok, etc.Thats why these shoes are expensive and not used by common man.

5.Many of these are not highly educated.Even one of them called Sachin Tendulkar who plays a game known to be played by 12-13 nations in Matric fail and due to sports he became a member of Indian parliament. So,if you are not good in studies, never mind, take up some sports as career.Out of all, boxing is the cheapest to start with. You can punch others and earn money...

One can say '2 hours of work in a year' only by not thinking about how many hours of WORK precede to be able to become eligible for those '2 hrs that earn you $85 Million'

What about the underhand dealings of the cricketers for match fixing which is still very rampant in India.
