Kapil has himself to blame. He dint go with the flow, he wanted people in power to listen to him. Another person like Greg Chappel who had lots of talent & ability but lost the hunt because of his action.

Not everybody can be Aamir Khan (change the rules) :)

How come it was dada's team? We have Dhoni, Gambhir, P.Ojha, R.Ashwin, P.Kumar, I.Sharma, S.Sreesanth, M.Patel, V.Kohli, S.Raina etc. All made their test debut after 2006.

Let me tell you some real statistics which media doesn't highlight. Under Ganguly's captaincy India won 21 test matches in which 9 were against Ban and Zim. If you talk about abroad record Ganguly won 11 tests in abroad in which 6 were against Ban and Zim.

and i doubt whether the team consisting of sachin, dravid, kumble, ganguly, laxman can be called dada's team either....

because azhar's team consisted of sachin, dravid, ganguly himself, laxman, kumble etc. so shall we say azhar built india's (successful) team and dada reaped its benefits?

very good point anurag....under dhoni we were no. 1 test team for about 2 years...and not ONE of these tests had kumble (the one with most test wickets...no other indian bowler has taken more test wickets than him)...dhoni's bowling attack consisted mostly of zaheer, ishant, sreesanth, bhajji, ozha and mishra with whom he managed to keep india no. 1 in tests for 2 years...

India was #1 because 90% of the matches were played on flat wickets.
In SA, we won due to exceptional performances from Laxman & Harbhajan.
In SA, we again won because of Laxman, Ojha & Sehwag.
Winning over NZ is nothing given the fact that they are as bad as Bangladesh from almost a decade in test matches. And again, Gambhir was the captain for ODI series and he proved that Dhoni is not crucial to win against NZ......

All these individual performances had nothing to do with Dhoni. If you think Dhoni was the reason India was #1 or if u think Dhoni is the reason India is losing hold on tests, may THELORD save you guys....!

Team lead by any Sehwag or Gambhir can win in India because everybody contributes from India.

Individual contribution is part of this game. A team only wins when some individual performs well. Here the discussion is about to use the available resources properly. All 4 captains Ganguly, ravid, Kumble and Dhoni had almost same players but why India got the best result only during Dhoni's captaincy that too when India didn't have Kumble and Ganguly in the side!!!

i take it that you claim that the performances of 11 players from our team from those ''90%'' mathces have zero value? totally worthless? well you have a right to your opinion...

and if you want to say those 90% mathces on flat wickets were all worthelss...all those performances have to be discounted and have no value...well, what can i ssay...their goes the performances of sehwag, gambhir, laxman, sachin, dravid, etc.. etc...all can be safely sold to the local raddiwalla....

So, you mean to say
If Praveen Kumar bowls well in the matches, it is because of Dhoni??
If Yuvraj SIngh plays well, it is because of Dhoni??
If Midget & Praveen Kumar play well in finals, it is because of Dhoni??

And by the way, when some one says "you are not studying properly", the answer is not "my neighbour is also not studying properly". Similar to your claim. India played almost 60 tests in the last 5 years (2007~2012), highest by anyone. So, they were bound to be #1 on any victory, home or away.

I will be replying to ur further allegations (if any) against me probably tomorrow. I am going out now.

jiju maharaj, if dhoni does not make any difference to anything...then if he is not responsible for wins then he is also not responsible for defeats...if he cannot be credited or has nothing to do with indian wins either in india or abroad...then he has nothing to be blamed about in losses either whether in india or abroad...

jiju maharaj according to your logic and thought processes....dhoni is not responsible for either defeats or wins...so if india were no. 1 dhoni not responsible and if india loses and reaches no. 8 position still dhoni cannot be blamed...according to your ''logic'' if india wins dhoni responsible 0% and if india loses dhoni responsible 100%,.,,,no arguments are possible against such ''divine logic'' jiju maharaj....
