yes very true..in fact.Saurav made the team which was nothing..the team was in tatters after the match fixing scandal..but he made the team with limited resources into the best team. Unlike Dhoni who had everything ready made for him and continued the best that Sourav had made of the Indian team.

in fact it would be correct to say that the team built by azhar of sachin, dravid, laxman, ganguly himself, kumble, etc. was given to ganguly readymade and he reaped the benefits of it...
guy has taken india to pinnacle of success in all format .. test, world cup, T20 world cup... other india's great (sachin) has not done like except getting closer to success.

In this period (2001-2005) India led by Our great Captain DADA. It is the 10th time in 27 innings that India have been bowled out for less than 250.
India was in 7th wen he took over as captain and was 2nd wen he handover it to dhoni. Dhoni had good team to carry further to no.1 /; and India started to smell away victory only wen Ganguly took over as captain......
