What an idiotic comparison. If IPL is the yardstick to decide captaincy, then why an aggressive captain like ganguly failed in the tournament? Can anybody provide the figures of Dhoni and Gambhir in Australia

Gauti is a great batsman at all levels. However, I feel he isn't cut out to become Captain. Especially not Test Cricket... maybe T20 is ok.
Is my short and sharp answer... but if it's to be then I'm confident we will only see Dhoni excel as a batsman without the burden of Captaincy. Is Gauti man enough for the job - no I don't think so.

If we follow your logic... then Sunny Leone also deserves the position. Have you seen the look in her eyes??? She could kill any bowler or batsman :)

mr mohit I am not blaming you, but you are too young to know the good qualities of a captain..learn further and come back................

If this is true then no weak team can have a good captain which is wrong. For example S.Fleming.

I dont think so, NZ career graph is always linear...not good not bad whoever captain was there.

What I said is NZ was weak side. But during his period NZ made many upsets. They won 4 matches in row against Aus in CB series. They whitewashed Aus in ODI series. They did well in CT and WC events.

BUT you should remember Bangladesh has improved a lot..they can challenge any team in the world in their own land..they are excellent cricketers in their teaM..as for Zim..once upon a time they were a good team but not so now..

India won 21 tests in Ganguly's captaincy where 9 tests were against Zim and Ban. While India have won 17 tests under Dhoni's captaincy where just 1 test was against Ban.

Thats not a point dear....MSD performed outstanding in these LOST series..He was MOS in England..right ?...So Win/Loss is always depends on 11 players

A good captain will get the good results frequently according to the ability of their players.
While a poor captain will get the below par results even with the good resources.

Good...then you have to decide from these 2 lost series..MSD had all gr8 players in that matches..so poor or good ?

I said frequently!!! I didn't say always which is impossible for any team. 2 series lose in 4 years are very much acceptable. If India lose 2-3 more series frequently then we can think about other captain.

A big NO...If all players are under performing then why captain is liable ?...Captain is only liable when he is not performing by bat/ball/behind wkt and also team is losing frequently.
To retain the Rank 1 in Test side. u need good bowlers. India never had good bowler who could take Quick wickets. There is no point blaming him as the only reason for Failure.

there are emerging good pace bowlers in yadav, aaron, vinaykumar, praveen kumar, dinda not to forget the trusted Zaheer etc. but nagging injury problem is the main problem..
