No you are wrong, shastri never poked or rather he used to boringly leave deliveries all day and never pressed for win at best shastri and gavaskar tried to draw a test match now they are talking big time.
Why People and Media Thinks that 8 Matches, OLD’s Average as follows in Australia Tendulkar 35.87,Dravid 24.25 and Laxman 19.37 and YOUNGS’S averages as follows Kohli 37.50,Sehwag 24.75, Gambir 22.62,Dhoni 20.40 Both old and YOUNG has bad performance in Australia. Clarke and Ponting faced 896 and 922 balls respectively but only 3 Indian batsmen able to play 500 balls from 8 Innings. The Opening pair played only 445 257 balls from 8 innings, Do you think this opening pair is fit to play test cricket in bouncing cricket? Do you think our bowler bowled really well? In fact out bowling attack is worst ever bowling attack in the world now. They bowled like club cricketers except Zaheer and Ashwin. They sprayed the ball all over the wicket. Most of the sessions Australia Scored 100 run in every session. Why the media not criticized this one? During this trip the media keep on attacking only senior batsmen and my question is whether Young Batsmen performed really well? Whether Opening batsmen don really well? Whether the Bowlers bowled really well? Whether Captaincy is great? Why there is hype in senior batsmen retirement?
Criticizing and talking is easy. When he was a player how much runs he has scored in overseas tour. He was not a player to be fit in any format during his tenure. Always boasting.

I consider Dravid and Laxman much better players than arrogant Shastri. Yet on this occasion, it seems he has earned the right to brag. Please read the stats. Ravi is the world topper against Australians. So he can talk!!
wait for 3-4 days, these so called commentators/bloggers/chairside critics will forget this whole episode.Look at pakistan beating England in the second test as well in our conditions and learn from there as we have done it in our backyard to England and Australia and West Indies. So relax guys and leave our good team to themselves.Enjoy the game despite terrible results against us sometimes.
