Sehwag/Gambhir should be dropped immediately. Here is what the selectors should do after everything is settled down and time to take some harsh decisions. Bring them all in one room... 1.) Dravid/Lakshman/Zaheer - You have been great servants to Indian cricket, please retire now and pass the batton to others 2.) Tendulkar - One more chance and or will be dropped, better make your own decision so it's easy on everybody 3.) Sehwag/Ishant/Vinay K - No more chance, you are being dropped based on your performance and athelitic level. 4.) Ashwin - You need to hit the gym and improve your athelitic abilities, you run like pregnant women (no fun intended). Otherwise you will be dropped. 4.) Dhoni - You are still our captain but only on series to series basis. We know we don't have quality bowlers to allow you to be aggressive but need to take input and being somewhat more pre-active.

Dhoni as captain? Are you out of your mind? He should be stripped of captaincy immediately. Make Gambhir or Kohli the captain (a brave and bold move would be to give Kohli test captaincy and invest in him for the future). I would keep Gambhir but keep him on his toes by bringing in other openers. Dravid and Laxman to be asked to retire, and send Kohli up to No.3 and bring in Rohit Sharma and Pujara. Drop Sehwag and bring back Mukund or blood a new guy like Tanmay Srivatsava.
Nothing unexpected. This team was not the best selected. I hold the selectors equally responsible. The team as a whole failed miserably. If Saurov could retire why not Sachin,Dravid and Laxman. They have no business to be in the team. I am least interseted in anyones personal records. For me the country comes first.

The usual Bong whine about how no one has the right to play cricket once Sourav Ganguly has retired! Please look at cricket through a non-Sourav tinted lens. This may be a revelation to you, but he wasn't Bradman. And not an authority on playing on green pitches either (Nagpur 2004 anyone?)
...I have no doubt that he is qualified to comment on the batting of our cowards. Shastri had solid technique which our cowards lack. Actually our cowards are just IPL lions.

Shastri was the guy who refused to fall down to field because it will dirty his dress.
