the political head weights(sorry, heavy weights) of BCCI have requested the media not to target sachin in particu;ar and instead have a go at laxman and then dravid..till now, no one had the guts to speak against sachin..its a shame..individual above nation proved in this..

One day test?
by Chandran KR on Jan 27, 2012 06:31 PM

India lost all the 5-day match on the first day itself. don't we have a third umpire to declare Aussies won the match on the first day itself.

cricket is not only a mind game but also a physically taxing game..brute power is the need of the hour..guys like ashwin, laxman, dravid are all veggies, thats why they are all physically lazy..its time to pick physically strong players.

well, if u look at dravid, he always thrives in english conditions, similar to his hometown bangalore..lax always thrives in aus, similar to hydbad, extreme heat..thats the diff..

i have personally experienced when i used to play as i am veggie..i have also come across similar ppl with such handicaps like stamina, running between wickets etc..

the point is, dravid and laxman never look for singles because they dont want to run exerting physical pressure on them..have u ever seen them rotating the strike in this series??

Retirement

Following Players should retire immediately. These players have failed 8 times out of 8 chances. These are the players
1. Sachin Tendulkar, the MASTER BLASTER, it has become a joke now
2. Rahul Dravid: The wall: The wall has fallen miserably. Only debris are left
3. VVS Laxman: His reflexes are no more to tackle international Cricket
4. MS Dhoni: Expiary date is counting. Should immediately retire with World Cup glory

Smart thinking by Aus Board

If Aus would have enforced the follow-on, the match would have end either yesterday itself or by today lunch. Aus Board have already suffered losses due to match ending in 3 days. Hence Clarke opted out of enforcing follow-on and atleast earn some extra bucks for his board by taking match to 5th day.

Schin's Blunder
by Manushan Punno on Jan 27, 2012 05:47 PM  | Hide replies

The biggest mistake Sachin made in 2011 was skipping the West Indies tour and instead opting to rest and promote his business activities in England. If he had toured the WI, he could have scored his elusive 100th hundred against the weaker west indian attack, and he would have been free of the burden of scoring the 100th ton later in England. But he wanted glory, to score the hundred at LORDS !!How miserably he has failed ever since. It's time for him to hung up his boots and give a youngster the chance to represent the country.Enough is enough, we have seen enough and more of Sachin. He should now exit the scene with dignity. Like the great Donald Bradman was stuck on a test batting average of 99, Sachin must also show the decency and quit the arena with his 99 international hundreds and not shamelessly play for eternity to get to the elusive 100th hundred.

or as gavaskar suggested he should have played odi against WI and scored 100. It is easy to score 100 in odi on batting paradise. Even the edges goes for 4 but in test they go to slip fielders. But no ifs and buts. now probably we will suffer in tri-series also due to his cautious approach.

When he couldn't score the 100th ton against the same WI in India, you thought he would have scored it in WI. High Hopes, Brother. The fact is he is unable to focus any longer. Possibly we talking all the time about his 100th ton is getting into his nerves as well. However, yes he should have played the ODIs against WI to get more chances to score that elusive ton instead of coming directly to Australia and that too at a time their bowlers had become highly organised and competent. A champion will always finds his way. But unfortunately SRT didn't. Let us hope SRT comes out of this and retire with his pride intact. Let us wish the best in the coming ODIs

Why we all confused. He is delaying his hundred so as to continue playing. He knows that BCCI does not have courage to ask him to retire before him completing the record.

if u have 10 horses and 10 donkeys, how many u have in total? its still 10 horses and 10 donkeys only..same way, how can one club centuries in ODIs and tests??ridiculous..these parameters are started by the media and finally they accumulate and present it before the president to fetch bharat ratna..

I wish senior players should have understood their state of mind, body and call it a day gracefully in the interest of indian cricket. The selectors should come out of defensive mind and experiment with younger players.Do not be afraid to loose in the process as we are unable to win anyway. The fall has been too quick and we need to check it.IPL should be kicked out first if one needs to build test team for the future.

the senior players know the truth very well, but like our ministers they will not step down voluntarily, they will have to be kicked out, that's the only way to prune the indian cricket team..it is high time new blood is injected otherwise the patient will die.

Please dont talk about ministers and politicians, politics or for that matter business is a different ball game. There at least you get the experience as you age, here you need the physical will. Moreover, cricket is for a short period of 20 years or so. Even as the seniors delay their retirement, there are so many youngsters who should have gotten into the team at the age of 20 or 25 but never got a chance and now I don't think a deserving youngster who reached 30 will be inducted into the team. His chance is gone forever.

Everyone keeps talking of the 'Senior players'!! What about the younger players' contribution? What about captain's contribution?
The team didn't exactly have 3 players (Dravid, Tendulkar & Lakshman) It was a team of 11 with 4 bowlers and the rest 7 batsmen.
It was a collective failure. Bowlers failed miserably too,
When the Indian bowlers had difficulty in taking 10 wickets in 2 days, Australians were taking 10 Indian wickets in 6 hrs!
So better stop this 'Seniors' bashing and look at the fundamental failure.

I agree. Bowling has always been an ignored area in India as BCCI does nothing to promote good bowling options. We had reached the number one position because our batters were exceptionally good for more than a decade and now with them their reflexes, India is getting exposed very badly. It is high time we develop some good pace and spin options to get back the respect in International cricket. BCCI will u ever listen?

I remember to have seen several days in a TV Channel repeating again and again "India prepares a Perfect KHEDDA for ausies", 10dulkar is best in Australia. I actually floated in heaven as Indians will win by atelast 2-0 and 10dulkar will score atleast 4 centuieis. What a pity. Learn a lession: do not praise slodier going to war about his capabilities, sadhu about his brahmacharya when young, lady about her 'pativrat' still young.

THE selectors did not learn from the english white wash..if they have learnt this debacle might have been avoided..they know only to count money ..never give chance to young players like Ohja, tiwari, pujara, rohit, ajinkya, misra always the selectors got their favourites old soldiers...morons

Debackle in English tour was attributed to 'excessive cricket' and 'tiredness' of players.
Now in the more serious debackle in Australia, such reasons are not coming!
When things are not well, and once there is a partnership of just 30 going on, Dhoni gets into defensive mode, spreading field, setting defensive placements, not even talking to bowlers on field etc thereby allowing the batsmen to have a real field day.
