Welcome these heroes
by Vikram on Jan 26, 2012 06:45 PM  | Hide replies

We should all plan a very warm welcome to our 'heroes' when then return home, with eggs and tomatoes. Not thrown at them, but neatly laid out like a welcome carpet.
Then again, these shameless guys will probably not come back together, and instead will try to sneak back into the country quietly in separate groups. They have done this before.

Typical indian fan mentality. They are also people and i am sure it hurts in their mind. If you remember there was a series that Aus lost miserably in india when the wickets we offered had lots of support for spin. But their older players supported their team and told them to forget it as a one off series. We are a country immature to deal with defeats. I hope the team is not.

Real Problem..
by abhilash mulky on Jan 26, 2012 06:37 PM  | Hide replies

The fact is that we are losing 4-0..there r many factors which has lead to this situation..But y r people here fighting aginst/ or on behalf of Dhoni, Sachin etc...Cant understand the logic behind it...Instead of discussing reality we r happy by blaming some individuals..the Bottomline is that MOST OF THE INDIAN BATSMAN/ BOWLERS ARE OVER RATED by media/cricketers/commentators/blind fans

hehe. You should write novels man. All these weird stories. It is not that they are overrated, but the conditions the play in introduce a lot of shots that get them into trouble in away series. As for the older players, they dont have the reflexes anymore. Not their fault. They just dont know when to let go.

remove vseniors
by srikanta on Jan 26, 2012 05:50 PM

Dear bcci selecters, don't waste time. could u remove these seniors(sachin, dravid, laxman) from the test team. Not a single player is playing responcibily. If india lost 100 out of 100, then also they will not learn.

Yesterday, i was under the impression that Dhoni's exclusion did not make any difference. But Saha proved me wrong. His keeping skills are way better than Dhoni & his batting was also very sensible.

Yes he is better WK. But as a batsman Dhoni is way ahead of him. Saha scored 35 on a best batting track in this series.

Even Sydney was a flattest pitch when Dhoni scored 57*. Havent we seen him failing in all other matches? If u say 45 runs from 9 innings is "way ahead" of Saha, I have nothing to say :)

In continuation to the above, this is Saha's first match and he came under tremendous pressure. Moreover, if it is the best batting track, how come the next best score after Kohli is Saha? You mean 9 other batsmen are NOT AT ALL batsmen who can score runs? :):)
Amusing indeed.....

The secret to that lies in the way we got out. Subcontinent habits. Saha did good. But the way one match provided answers to you is very funny indeed. So in another few matches if he fails, you will abuse him and want to throw him out ?

No, I dont want to throw Dhoni or Saha. I just want the better man to stay. But Srikant & team have other ideas......
And 1 match did not give me any answers. I thought there was no difference after inclusion of Saha. But he played well. Thats is all what I said. My opinion was limited to this match only!

But Mr. Varun seemed to snub Saha's innings terming it as "batting pitch". I gave him the reply in his words, thats all.

hehe. Which part of my comment said batting pitch. Confused or poor reading skills or wrong place ? Anyways your first comment was broader and now you made it specific to one test match. Fair enough. :-)

Check Sachin's record..... it shows realit
by stallone muthu on Jan 26, 2012 04:46 PM  | Hide replies

Against the 3 greatest fast bowlers of his era, whom he faced in more than one Test series, McGrath, Donald and Akram, Sachin has scored 1719 Test runs at a modest average of 34.3 (compared to his career average of 56).

In 76 ODIs where Sachin Played these three Fast bowlers his average is 31.64.He scored only 2 Centuries in these 76 Matches and these two centuries came on Indian Pitches..Against Playing Allan Donald he crossed fifty just 3 times in 26 innings!

In tests Against South Africa when Allan Donald plays his Average is 32.Similarly his Average against Pakistan when Wasim Akram Plays is 32.

Against Australia when Glen Mcgrath Plays his average is just 36.77 wheras in Glen Mcgrath Absence his average against Australia rise to 70. Interestingly Brian Lara Average against Australia when Mcgrath plays is 64.82.

by Kalpak chandra on Jan 26, 2012 04:25 PM

plese give me a chance . I can score more than laxman . And i would have enjoyed a foreign tour for free . Actually i think bcci should announce a new pakage for tourist five players should be real and all other should be tourists. It will be a good option of earning and if any tourist plays well by mistake he should be included in the team

47 batsman
by JUST FUN on Jan 26, 2012 04:08 PM

7 innings multiplied by 6 laeding batsmen is equal to 42 chances.( Gambhir,Sehwag,Dravid, tendulakr,Laxman,Kolhi)
Out which that 42 batamen/batting chances Kohli scored a centuery.
So he must be given Bharat Ratna Award now
