counted by media for his test and odi. Centuries(mahashatak) against namibia, kenya, bangladesh, zimbabwe also counted as these team cannot come in top 5.If you break up these countries then century will be less then 80 or 75
remove indian cricket from ur life...stop waching IPL...dont be part of TRP which is benefitting politics/corporates/betting syndicates...remember old time when we won the world cup for the first time...too much of TV exposure has ruined the pure fun
I am not a Sachin basher nor a Sachin fan. I like his style of batting. He is a batting maestro and technically good. People who lift him to the stature of god and blindly worship him based on his past records are the bane of Indian Cricket. I have solid reasons to substantiate that Sachin is not a knockout match performer. Take the example of 2011 world cup itself. When we needed him badly to get India to win the World cup, he performed in all the league matches but failed miserably in the semi-final and final and too in his home turf. In 1996 also when the world cup was played in India, he could no do anything needed for India against Srilanka in the Final. The same holds true in all abroad tournaments. Never once, India has won a world cup semi-final or final or knockout game against quality teams like Aus or SA due to Sachin being the elephant part of that effort. Just to give an example, remember Steve Waugh's master piece 120 against SA in England when Australia was down 3/48. Remember Miandad sixer off Chetan Sharma when just 1 ball was left. Similarly Ponting, Bevan have numerous times turned tide in favour of Australia standing notout and carrying Australia to victory. Sachin owes his records partly due to him opening the batting. If he had been coming at No.4 or 5 half of his records or statistics would not be there. I agree he is a great player but there are so many other players in International cricket who are more talented and having great techinques than him

man australia played for winning not for records.Ricky ponting and steve waugh efforts in super six against south africa entered in semi final world cup 1999.So Sachin is class player but not outstanding player in such crucial times.

Buddy you seem to have forgotten Sharjah 1998. His century single handedly took india to the finals & then scored another century against the might australians to win the Cup for India. Even the wind storm cud'nt stop him from getting India to the victory, If at all you need more evidences, feel free to contact me

Thats was another good innings.. not the sort of inning that wud bowl us over.. the very fact SRT fans still ytalk abt sharjah inning shows.. SRT's cup is empty.. chasing 270 on a flat track against a ordinary attack..comon.. most avg cricketers wud have gone through theri lives playing atleast 3-4 innings like the sharjah
