There is no motivation to play test cricket. So there is no question of lack of some thing which does not exist. But matter is different in case of IPL cricket.

Indian test cricket needs to humiliated to the core by having a day 3 finish. That will effectively bury test cricket in INdia. Welcome to IPL Season 4 or 5..

First of all, Indian cricketers should show motivation by fighting it out in the test match. 7 consecutive overseas loss is not hOf coeard in the recent history of indian cricket in the past 25 years... of course there is NO motivation,playing test cricket Only IPL gives motivation due to huge money...Last year Gambhir was paid hefty sum - hence he played despite carrying an injury)... This is true for Dhoni..
