First of all, Indian cricketers should show motivation by fighting it out in the test match. 7 consecutive overseas loss is not hOf coeard in the recent history of indian cricket in the past 25 years... of course there is NO motivation, playing test cricket Only IPL gives motivation due to huge money...Last year Gambhir was paid hefty sum - hence he played despite carrying an injury)... This is true for Dhoni..
1. Have Dhoni greater say in all aspects of the Indian team. 2. Drop all seniors - Sachin,Dravid,Zaheer,Laxman. India berth is not private property, that they can choose when to retire. 3. Get 2 solid openers with good technique. - good bye Gambhir,Sehwag (as opener) 4. Push Sehwag to No.4 5. India's middle order to be from Kohli,Sharma,Raina,Pujara,Tiwary - Persist is the key. 6. Get 5-6 young fast bowlers who can bowl more than 140 kph and for long time. Encourage aggression. Yadav, Aaron, Sreesanth, Praveen. Kumar, Ishant Sharma. Find couple of more. Rotate them. 7. Ashwin, Ojha, Rahul Sharma should be bowling for long hours.(Get a spinning coach - Prasanna,Bedi would be good). Reduce their T20,ODI load. T20,Odi is not the route to test cricket for a spinner. 8. Get Irfan Pathan to increase pace.He is young,no reason why he cannot reach more than 135 kph. 9. Encourage meaningful cricket. 10. Stick to above 9 points for 4-5 years.

Excellent points... I feel some of them can be revisited.
1. Dhoni need to show his skills in keeping and bat in test. He is not at all up to the mark.
2. Laxman, Dravid need to be dropped. Zaheer can be play for sometime. Also, Leave out Sachin here. He is not done anything wrong. He has to be there for sometime to be a mentor for few players.
3. Gambhir is also a indian pitch test player and a one-day player. He should stop taking too much and let his bat speak. 7. Very good point. But Bedi should not be a coach.

These are good players, undoubtedly. But basically they are IPL players and would not even imagine that there existed bowlers like Wasim Akram, Waquar, warne, Shaun Pollock, Alan Donald. They can score only on flat Indian pitches. Basically they are not cricketers but a means for BCCI to earn money through IPL. 6. You are only talking about proved failures. Kindly when you speak about India, dont speak about fast bowling because thats the way BCCI wants Indian and World Cricket to be, More runs in a match, more useless people merry so more viewership, ultimately more and more MONEY. Do you understand the logic?

first drop dhoni as player in test matches. look at his overseas record as player. he might be a good captain but captaincy alone guarantee place in team.

well..if you look as a keeper..he has not been too bad. if you see batting, every one failed. but as a captain, what can you do if as a captain you do not get the players to your liking. he has been screaming to get young blood in, which seems to be falling on deaf ears.
there is never lack of motivation for money which he gets plenty from his ipl masters... country pride and playing for country does not matter fro him that is why he faked injury on england tour to rest for ipl and serve his masters well... gambhir the traitor dogz will do any thing for few bones... drop gambhir/sehwag/dhoni/laxman now...
That is what we are good - just go ahead and win . No point in talking our being number one - without being best . We are talking of skills in such pitches -why talk about soft skills. we are sick -period.

WELL SAID.FROM DHONI,DRAVID,SEHWAG,ZAHEER,ISHANT,LAXMAN AND GAMBHIR ALL ARE GOOD IN THE PRESS MEET ONLY.WHO CARES THESE FELLOWS NOW?
see even the number of comments shows thanks to poor selection and not making any changes, indians have lost interest in cricket..great going bcci. this is when other sports need to make their space. football, hockey anyone ?
