I am under depression
by powerful Goldstar on Jan 19, 2012 04:23 PM  | Hide replies

I am under depression that Virender Sehwag is appointed captain in place for Dhoni for the last Test at Adelaide. Virat Kohli could have been given the chance. Sehwag is a total non-performer in knockout situations. Its surprising how he retains his place in the team eleven.

If politicain dhoni can retain his place in team- any player (even gully cricketer) deserve to play in India- why sehwag?
Other players may be failure for 1 or 2 series but dhoni is failure in all 7 overseas series with bat averaging less than 20 & also big failure in all formats of game overseas.

best is to recall shastri, gavaskar - who can stick to the wicket all day long without getting out and not scoring - the opposition will lose because of boredom

test cricket? five days of waste, no crowds, no sponsorship, NO MONEY NO ACTRESSES NO CHEERLEADERS

IPL - instant cricket, instant gratification, tamasha for the spectators, b/t/m/kollywood actors/actresses, business tycoons, cheerleaders, models, and more! what fun and entertainment for one and all in just 3 hours. the bold and the beautiful, the smart and the sassy, are all there in plenty for the common crowd whose attention is focused on the cheerleaders than on cricket. o yes! that was six, yet another one - yawn! now ogle at the gyrating cheerleaders and the actresses/models

take 20-20 as IPL of course, across the world (poor Sri Lanka could not starts its own 20-20) and rule cricket thru 20-20

IPL is page 3 cricket

test cricket - in the 21st century, test cricket is passe - our captain not-so-cool declared himself retired after 2013, might happen in 2012 itself

Remove Dhoni as captain
by powerful Goldstar on Jan 19, 2012 02:22 PM  | Hide replies

He is not fit to be a captain. Remove him. If he doesnt perform as batsmen or keeper, drop him immediately. In the 2011 world cup final, Gambir was the real hero and it was made up as if Dhoni rescued us.

dhoni just doesnt feel like batting in england/SA/WI/NZ/Australia where there's pace and bounce. he doesnt want to work hard to alter this technique for these wickets with pace, swing, and seam.

TOO MUCH OF HARD WORK AND WHAT PRICE?

On the other hand, we have IPL, the captain of Chennai super kings - and the sponsorship money - easy money, easy work, no altering technique

all we need do is compare dhoni with gilchrist to see the difference, the class and the commitment is there to see for all

why gilcrist, even most of wicketkeeper batsman like Sangakara, Mat prior, Deviller,Hadin, Mclumn etc are far superior to dhoni in batting as well as keeping.
He can't be comapred even with any of best wicketkeeper batsman for get about comparing with worlds best.
His oversesa test & T-20 avg is less than 25.
Simply surviving on luck, politics & performance of seniors in past.

Only indian fans can be so thankless!! No other fans talk about their world cup winning captains this way.

If Sehwag, Gambhir, dravid, yuvi or sachin were such great captains why don't they show it by winning in IPL or CL first?

You guys are so biased. Does anybody in SL talk like this about Ranatunga, or about Border, Waugh, Ponting in Aus? or Imran in Pak? Indian fans are the most useless bunch of fans.

What's wrong in going to a vineyard?
by Rakesh Kumar on Jan 19, 2012 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

I don't see anything wrong in going to vineyard.
A year before the same people went GAGA over the team's performance in the world cup.
We should not be Scrutinizing his off-field activities like this.......
