by Just Curious on Jan 18, 2012 11:05 PM

Aus , Eng, SA Players:
A Fish in High salty water can adapt to a less salty water much easily
Sub Continent players:
A fish lived most of his life in less salty water will have problems in high salty water.

Less salt water - seam less sub continent pitches
High Salt water - Seaming fast pitches overseas

Too much money and mindless public adulation which is carefully orchestrated by moneybags. We have no sense of shame.

Action Plan
by kp on Jan 18, 2012 10:03 PM

Following reasons for India's poor show, back to back in 7 Test matches.

1. There is a certain lack of Unity within the team though people dont directly show it out, may be because Kirsten was mentoring and keeping the team very well together, once a new coach came, people are missing that secret role that Kirsten played, which kept the unity of the team intact. Strange coincidence is only when Fletcher joined, indian performance was dipping to an all time low, all of a sudden.

2. IPL, well, everybody say IPL is the cuprit, I would say yes, but not because of the cricket that is played, the Money that is involved is what the culprit. As somebody said below, People get so much money that they care damm for test cricket and playing for the country, these days.

3. perennial problem for India is overseas performance, but post 2003 or so, it was not bad at all, seeing this trend last 10 years, this performance remind pre 2000 Era. Nevertheless, BCCI has to take concrete steps to improve Test cricket by laying fast and bouncy pitches. They should take this mind set out were Crowd Puller is moe runs, certainly not, they are under estimating the crowd, people want to see great cricket, both from Bat and the Ball. BCCI should immediately layout a solid plan to upgrade many pitches that matches foreign conditions.

4. More foreign tours, India Youths or A Team should travel more to SA, Nz, England and Australia.

5. Blame All, it is a team sport, and improve collectively.

Reasons for india's failure : psychological/scientific views
by vijay on Jan 18, 2012 10:02 PM

1. see , in australian ,english pitches , due to cold conditions , the soils there tend to contract and elastic , so ball bounces , seams , swings, in indian conditions due to hot weather soil expands and ball keeps low , never swings much.

2.indian batsmen n bowlers , since they eat less varieties of protein rich raw meats n sea foods have lesser physical strength , so medium bowlers n malnourished batsmen.

3. in swinging seaming conditions , while batting , see the difference in approach by english n aussie batsmen , its clearly visible that even tendulkar is playing forward , on ball trust ie indian batsmen applying indian method of batting - playing the ball seeing from bowler's hand , while aussie batsmen play the ball after pitching.

4.They did fight in South Africa ( 1-1 ) , its all about mental toughness though , remember world cup win and aging factor did slowed and exhausted us down ...

its simple....
by Saurabh Mishra on Jan 18, 2012 09:44 PM

each member of Indian Test and one day squad have had their fill. Stomachs are full(prime example rohit sharma, who gives a dam about International career bcos of IPL) A good amount of money has been earned, they are stars and do not practice enough for test matches. They know that they have the talent to hit the ball out of the park in Indian conditions and that is enough reason for them to live a happy life. Now as a nation we have lost the value of being "proud Indians" and its all about earning money which applies to most of us. same is reflected in politics, administration, private business, and oscourse sports......so lets improve as a whole...may b then we will see better results...:-)
