only batsman score solid batting in 4 innings. but he dropped in this 3rd match which india score below 200 in tow innings. if aswin in our side add another 75 runs in an innings.

I Agree. I somehow feel the seniors did not want Ashwin to be present in the side as it was an embarrassment for them and so got him sit on the bench

if your top 7 seven "so called" best batsmen cannot score runs, why will u bet on Ashwin! ? He is yet to establish himself as an allrouder in the team...do not judge by the performance in subcontinent pitches.

one more series loss by the indianteam.earlier it was in england now they have repeated it in australia again.need a player like ganguly gavaskar, kapil back in the team.dhoni has failed to adopt the strong strategy this time.need a big chnage in the team to avoid such disastrous defeat in future course.

by Navvu on Jan 15, 2012 01:15 PM  | Hide replies

Rahane & Mukund should replace the useless gauti-veeru for future tests

Kohli should bat at no 3

Rohit should bat at no 4

Pujara or Badrinath can come at no 5

Saha should bat at no 6

Ashwin a gud batsmen should come at no 7

Mithun should bat at no 8

Yadav should bat at no 9

Ojha should bat at no 10

Zak can come at no 11

100% agree. We cannot lose worse than this under 2 1/2 days. Atleast, we can try with the team of the future. Let there be a transitory stage, as Aussies had after Alan Border, like what England are having now.
If the selection committee has even 0.01% shame and character left in it, they would certainly do this.

if this 11 fails ..what next ?
:-)

guys probable is with BCCI, not with the players.

How many players actively involved in the domestic leagues (ranji, deodhar etc)

none.. then how they pass on their experience/learnings to youngsters ?
i haven't seen many in last 20-25 years. these guys have time and fit to play for IPL why not for ranji ?

If a player, plays 25-30 test 50 one day and few seasons of IPL ..and few endorsements . what else required for life... an avg indian IT guy with 20 yrs can't earn that money.
