there are several factors to be looked in before one can be called as the most successful captain.its just not the victories alone or the success% a cricket captain has.One shd also see the era at which hes captaining.Dhoni has performed well as captain and one cannot take away the credit from him but on the overseas fron he falls under the same category as any other indian captain to win overseas frequently.hes has captain an indian team during post invicible period of aussies and a SA team which has nt been the same as it used to during aussies invincible period.but its doesnt mean one can take away the credit of dhonis captaincy.the winning % of other teams also have increased post aussies invincible period.yes dhonis to his creidt has t20 and wc triumph under his credit.the nos of drawn test macthes also have reduced in recent times where most of the test matches produce results which aslo makes his winning % more.May be one has to wait and see after dratsic changes are made into the indian team and how dhoni takes it fwd from there.just like wat clarke has bee doing for aus by leading from the front during new aus team.Dhoni can stil lconitnue as a captain with young lads in the team and and see hw he grooms them which wd reflect his real capabality as a leader.Lets wait and watch wat the selectors have to say.

Now MSD and Co. will have sufficient time for Go-Karting,Sight seeing ,Shopping (with Family) all this and lot more!!!Its just getting bad to worse day by day..We should ban Cricket for rest of the year and concentrate on other Sports. Atleast ppl will get some better results
The single differential factor is what Australia was allowed to do before they lost their first wicket i.e. allowing to score 214 runs.
Once India got the break through, India in fact was ahead of Australia by 6 six runs if you dont reckon the runs scored by Australia till they lost their first wicket.
The single differential factor is David Warner-nothing more.
But then one should question the pitch and curator.
Indian might not want to talk about this, because back at home Media will fry them for finding excuses and as labelling them as sore losers.
But the fact remains.
If a test match is over in Two and Half days, something is terribly wrong.
A worldclass batting side collapsed and lost 10 wickets on day one.
On day two, another world class batting line up was collapsed and lost 14 wickets.
On day three in just a session and a half 6 wickets were gone.
And who are the batsmen who got out?
Ricky Ponting, Mike Clarke, Mike Hussey, Saching Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag.
Why dont some who know a thing or two about cricket stand up and ask questions?

i have seen a more stupid analyst than you......India could score runs in 1st inning so it ended in 2 and half days ...whose fault it is ?

Ranking #1 in test ; "worldclass batting" all are simply rubbish because all of them were won in the sub-continent pitch. You cannt win on fast wicket ; cannt win on seam wicket - you are just no good - statistics could say anything - just like statistics puts SRT ahead of Richards, Sobers et all - is that ever true?

What a bizzare analysis - r u a cricketer analyst in the mold of Ha Ha Bhogle! Then we know who your guru is. We are simply never good for the last 2 years in overseas (not subcontinent or WI). We need to change the selectors first and then make a complete overhaul of the current team - sack Viru Gambhir Dhoni SRT Dravid Ishant and VVS

It seems you do not want him to score 100th 100 or get Bharat Ratna .... I do not think care about Indian cricket team or Indian cricket at all
@Dear Fellow Indians ============ I have written a long time ago that
i)Indian Team Management should consider the option of making some green turfs at Mohali and Nahpur
ii)I also proposed to India A to tour regularly WEST INDIES AUSTRALIA (PURA CUP) SOUTH AFRICA AND ENGLAND and let TEAM iNDIA A participate in their domestic league That will give plenty of exposure to conditions and bouncy pitches ,before players from India A team make it to Team INDIA
iii)Also bolwing machines with good robotocs and software to simulate all types of rising deleveries and swing at Indoor and Outdoor nets as well ========== I strongly beleive Indians are natural born for cricket and plenty of talent in india
will stage a comeback ,if BCCI implements seruois reforms and professionalism =============== What did us in ----- Aussies determined to seek revenge and grudge in this series
ii)Micky arthur coaching ,clever exploitation and particularly making taiolred wickets with grass on top to suit BOWLERS and aussie bowlers clocking 140 mph and above exploited to the HILT
----- Disappointed with Team India - yes a bit
Felt sorry for the Great Sachin Tendulkar - Ues sachin hope u get it at ADELAIDE
The way to go into the future would be to make faster, bouncier tracks at home so our players, both batsmen and bowlers can adapt to overseas conditions at home itself and do much better in overseas matches.

Absolutely on The button ...The domestic tournaments incluing ranji should be played on Green Grassy Surfaces....onlt those who do well on those surfacs should be allowed to represent the country
