v select our test team on the basiss of ipl performances. vdont judge batsman' calibre n his performances on genuine pace frndly wkts.
what happened to parthiv's ouster from team for ausi tour, who is known to hv good technik to play in ausi's bouncy as well as eng's swinging pitches. he is not selected. another pujara who has been hitting so many triple centuries n has played even in eng conditions, is not in the team.
let the mediocre players b selected n get thrashed as usual by opponents.
I totally agree with Sunny.First person we should dismiss is Sehwag "the doodh pita bachcha" who do not have any desire to stay at pitch & always say "it is my style of playing cricket. But this silly fellow do not understand one point & that is he has to play for his team.Second person should go is SRT who is only playing for his personal records. The third person should go is our clueless captain. The fourth person should immediately quit is Our So called Coach Duncan Fletcher. It is a grt. surprise that BCCI has appointed him as a coach . Can anybody will explain his credibility? BCCI is equally responsible for this debacle as they only preparing wickets in India helpful for our so called grt players in India. Why they can not make green wickets in India also? We should have separate players specialist for test cricket & limited overs cricket. BCCI should immediately stop this IPL tamasha spoiling careers of many talented players.

I would agree with most of what you have said, except regarding Tendulkar. He is perhaps the only player who is still giving his 100%, and has something to show for it! I would suggest retain Tendulkar for another 6 months to a year, drop Sehwag, Dravid and Laxman. Strip Dhoni of captaincy and give it to someone more combative like Gambhir. Keep Dinesh Karthik and Parthiv Patel ready, as stand-by keepers, and do not hesitate to drop Dhoni altogether if he can't perform with the bat and behind the stumps.
Mr. Gavaskar, please think before you speak. It is unfortunate that India Dhoni lost the toss and was sent to bat. Australia would have met the same fate if they had batted this morning. Australia will perhaps score 500 plus and a tired and frustrated India will again fold in the second innings. We need to support our team more at this time.

I think that Mr. Gavaskar has a little bit more knowledge of cricket, than you have, for not to have considered the toss, nature of the pitch etc., before having made his comments. If Australia had been sent in to bat they would have lost a few wickets dueing the day; but would have most probably ended it with at least 250-300 runs on the board and at least 5-6 of their batsmen still to come out.
I don't know why Sunil Gavaskar took so long to make his negative comments on Indian Cricket Team when he is being thrown out of the BCCI and he was part of England series as well.
Lot of ppl got upset when after first test itself Sunny said something abt this series...But yeah this man is No nonsense at all...Selectors got to take hard decisions ...And pls select players with temperement , quality dont pick up just impetuous ones Every format demands diff quality and its not easy for all to blend into all formats..Its ok to switch on later and blend later on ...Hope selectors do their job right ...IMO Irfan, pujara needed to be in the squad...
My Indian friends mock Vinay’s lack of pace. Even I’ve compared his bowling to that of Damien Martyn. Others suggest that he might want to step up the pace as he was picked as a seamer and not a spinner. More than one said he was slower than Dhoni. And some even suggested he might have moved ahead of Dravid and Laxman in the retirement race.
First remove Dhoni the politician. If he isnt scoring much, that means curtains for him. Why he has to wait till end of 2013 to decide about him playing test matches when the current form itself is at his worst? I second the thoughts of Sunil Gavaskar. Hats off sunny for making such statement
