dhoni-post match comments:
before start of the series- v r good team n v vl try to win the series.
after 1st test- v cudnt adjust to conditions, but ther r 3 more to go n v vl bounce back.
after 2nd test, nothing is lost, v vl win both the remaining tests n draw the series.
after 3rd test defeat- series is lost but not the pride, v vl save our pride in final test.
after 4th test defeat - v r nt bad side, but 'somehow' v didnt play to our 'potential' otherwise, the same 'talented' bunch had won series at 'home(!!!)

Reasons for india's failure : psychological/scientific of views
by vijay on Jan 07, 2012 10:45 PM  | Hide replies

1. see , in australian ,english pitches , due to cold conditions , the soils there tend to contract and elastic , so ball bounces , seams , swings, in indian conditions due to hot weather soil expands and ball keeps low , never swings much.

2.indian batsmen n bowlers , since they eat less varieties of protein rich raw meats n sea foods have lesser physical strength , so medium bowlers n malnourished batsmen.

3. in swinging seaming conditions , while batting , see the difference in approach by english n aussie batsmen , its clearly visible that even tendulkar is playing forward , on ball trust ie indian batsmen applying indian method of batting - playing the ball seeing from bowler's hand , while aussie batsmen play the ball after pitching.

They are simply not equipped to succeed over Aussies under those conditions. It will take months of preparations for any measure of success against a highly skilled side who play under those conditions day in and out. It goes to prove that cricket is a rigged game where you can favor any side by changing the conditions to the strengths. Against other competitive team sports such as hockey and football where it is not easy to rig the conditions - one can explain why Indian team sports in general have dwindled in the country except cricket.

Sunny, why dont u take up coaching job than harping here in columns.
If you are truely concerned about Indian Cricket, you wont fight with BCCI on remuneration.
Anyway Sunny, Shastri, LAL, all have to stop harping about their opinions. They are entitled to have their opinion. But let that not influence selectors please.

Useless Sunny - ur a loser.

You were the one talking so high about Dhonis captaincy. :) Look at the state now.

you are the one talks high about Zaheer khan bowling so high - Look he is unable to size down aussie batsman.

You were the one keep talking about Gambir - Please admit he is not test class ever and stil being persisted with due to your and Shastris unnecessary hype about that player. Being in BCCI technical committe, you had big influence in any selection. So you are loser.

Lastly You do favour lots of Mumbai players in your commentary unnecessarily. Touch your heart and admit.

Anyway You probably lost the morale right to question any attitude of the players there.

All the Indian Players are enjoying for sure their trip except playing serious cricket, which includes your favored Tendulkar.
Being the senior most and considered to lead india in batting, look at his temperament when he nears any landmark and his second innings scores are appaling as always. He has never improved on his second innings score in his whole test tenure. - And you praise him ... Shame on u

this guy is a big hypocrite, when he was getting money from BCCi he talked like a loyal servant but now as the BCCi has sidelined him he is going hammer and tongs against BCCI. note the fact that now even he is blaming limited overs matches while earlier(during england tests fiasco,t20 cup 2009,2010 )when india was beaten black and blue he refused to name ipl as a curse. indian cricket team is finished courtesy IPL

criticise sachin, when he scored heavily in flat pitches but fails to even replicate 30% of what he did in dead sub continental pitches,is a person becomes insulated to any criticism just because his name ends with a "kar" and he comes from a certain place.

In am CONFUSED Why Sehwag is in a Test Team. He Must GO HOME. He is very in consistence. A triple digit run once in a blue moon is not what he is paid for.

Other who should be dropped are:
Dhoni,
Tendulkar (I feel he should gracefully leave on his own and give way younger players)

Dravid's techniques are better than Tendulkar at this point and he should be retained for few more Tests to mingle with the Younger player and show by EXAMPLE.

Virah is young and should be give chance instead of the old ones. It better that way. Young Legs Vs. Old Legs.
