Srikanth the Puppet
by santhana kumar on Mar 01, 2012 12:10 AM  | Hide replies

Srikanth has secured his job again for another term. Sachins and the likes are already available for 2019 world cup in England and have already proved their fitness for 2023.

Domestic FC profile of Ashok Dinda
by Nikhil Shah on Feb 29, 2012 11:59 PM

The selection of Dinda as per recommendation of Ganguly indicates the lack of talent India has in the fast bowling arena.

Dinda manages an average of 29 in the FC format. In the List-A format his record cannot be considered as a serious candidate if your consider Pankaj Singh.

Here is the comparision in List-A averages

Dinda : 54 wkts @ 33 E/R = 5.38
Pankaj: 69 wkts @ 29 E/R = 4.86

Based on these records, Dinda would end up averaging 38 with an E/R above 6.0 after a large sample size of about 25 ODIs.

Though Dinda has pace and Pankaj is taller, not as quick, in sub-continental conditions Dinda is not going to survive just like all other real quicks like Ishant, Yadav and Sreesanth.

Another Major player that the selectors ignored was Monish Parmar to be developed for the Sri-Lanka Test series.

Monish is a genuine off-spinners with 94 wkts @ 18.94. The bowling attack I thinking for the SL Test series was

Yadav Varun Monish and Mishra

Both Yadav and Varun should hit 90 mph consistently and Parmar and Mishra are genuine world class spinners for Test matches.

.
What a bribe giver Rohit is ! !

Instead of Rohit there must be Rahane in a team

Rahane is really talented and always be a scapegoat of a dirty politics of BCCI.

Rahane and Mukund should be opening for India on both ODI and Tests..There is no better pair in the country..

Selecting Sachin is good in one way
by Saravanan Subramanian on Feb 29, 2012 11:09 PM

Sachin can hopefully score 100th 100 against Bangladesh and satisfy his greed. Hopefully, he will announce his retirement after Asia cup.

In that way, taking Sachin in the squad helps Indian team and will give younger players enough time to groom before next world cup.

(I am expecting his retirement series after series - but unfortunately, that is simply not happening).
