I highly doubted..
by Lotiya Pathan on Feb 24, 2012 08:10 PM  | Hide replies

Looking at the way Dhoni is selecting the team, I doubted anyone but Jadeja will get that spot.

I am still not convined if Jadeja can play under pressure at #7. He has failed in almost every run chase under pressure and his bowling is average..

But Dhoni is not going drop him. Aswin looks lot better then Jadeja to be honest. Ashwin cana bat underpressure and he has proven it. And he can bowl better then Jadeja..

How dare you talk about Sir Ravinder Jadeja. He is the pet of Mr Dhoni.

CHAPPEL KILLED HIS CAREER
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Feb 24, 2012 07:45 PM  | Hide replies

Please treat him as a bowler and capable of Batting - do not tag him as all rounder immediately .Jadeja can you say he can score once in ten innings with confidence ? Frankly no batsmen exusdes confidence in the current team. Incidentally for youngsters there is a lot to learn from Chandimal .Indian playe scores a fifty he feels he need not score next four matches.

wow.. Blame Chappel for everything. Pathan was bowling at aroud 120KPH, and practically useless when Ball got older.

If you want to blame some one then blame Wasim Akram, who was giving Pathan tons of advises and Patahan was running to him on every little issue with his bowling..

RAVINDER JADEJA
by rambo only on Feb 24, 2012 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

Reminds me of Bombay Player Suru Nayak who selecte din National team by Gavaskar - for his bowling , batting and fielding.

after his selection - it emerged that he can NEITHER BAT NOR BOWL ( or field) at International level.

Similarly Jadeja neither can bowl not bat at International level . And he is in team due to Dhoni's bias towards him.

will tell that Indians dont give their 100 percent on the field. They are only after money and country hardly matters for them. Srilanka, just the size of an Indian state has produced a team that comprises of 3 captains (former and present) plays for the country even if they are not paid. Their spirit and commitment can never be seen in Indian cricketers.

FATE OF INDIAN TEAM:
by rahul bajaaj on Feb 24, 2012 05:39 PM

If a person who dosent know whether is a batsman nor a bowler who dosent knows both, kicked out of the team is sought as an allrounder in Australia, then the plight of the Indian team is well understood.

Unfortunate but true
by Indhea on Feb 24, 2012 05:06 PM

Irfan was good player in both dept, now he lost his accuracy and swing. However he has talents but luck not favor him. When Irfan is in the team, India loses its match though he did well.

Great Allrounder
by Charanjit on Feb 24, 2012 05:02 PM  | Hide replies

This great allrouder has really developed his pace.he used to bowl at 135-140 km in his earlier days and know he has improved the speed to 120 Km.So we can further expect good things from him and he will be ideal spinner in the coming days.He should concentrate on modelling and forget his earlier days which they live in utter poverty and get carried away and enjoy life. They should forget Cricket also as Cricket has already given them and there families millions.

Irfan, Ishant and Sreesanth
by S Shrikanth on Feb 24, 2012 04:49 PM

Irfan and Ishant Sharma sometimes bowl well on Australian pitches and fail elsewhere.

Sreesantn sometimes bowls well on SA pitches and fail everywhere else.

But Rediff makes them Great.
