Dunkan Fletcher is the main reason... what he is doing there ? just siting in AC room and watching match ? I think he is worst like G Chappel.

Sachin is great & Shewag is flamboyant
by nirankar tripathi on Feb 22, 2012 04:07 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin & Shewag both are jewels of Indian cricket. Dhoin has enjoied his ride as captain when both has clciked. Now its time for him to give time to non perfroming dous rather showinh eye to them. Dhoin is no bigger player than Sachin. At times Sachin has proved his critics wrong via his performance, he is on iconic landmark of gettin 100th centruty rather being supprotive to lengend who has served our nation for 23 yrs, we want him to beout of game.

I have huge rgds for Kapil but after his comment on Tendulkar ODI retirment i think he need medical assistance.

Dhoni culd be gift to man kind but he needs to respect his seniors tomorrow same can happen to him. This country still loves Sachin. Just wait for 100th ton, when he achieves it all these people gonna praise him. Go Scahin go... i'm there for ur this landmark acheievement. u have been god of game.We started following cricket because of you. In cenimatic language you have screen presence.

Everyone is hyper critical of our batsman getting failed. In my view, the bowling unit has also failed completely. Even on pitches like Australia, they are not able to make oppositions out twice. This brings lots of pressure on batsman. We have just seen the level of thinking by dhoni in the test matches. He was completely clueless. These days, it has become quiet fashionable to do the fault finding. Somuch is being talked out seniors getting failed. Which junior has performed. If Virat has performed in test, so is sachin. For sachin, the performance has become only century. His level is so high. Sachin has been humble. He has always been a team player. Let's not pressurise sachin by talking so much. Anil

Goldstar,

If your parents had no role in your birth, You are wright in your statement. Because, As far as we know about finals, Teams have to win in League Matches, Quarter Final, Semi Final to reach in Final. If they failed in any of these hurdles, they cant play in final as same like You will not be here to write these foolish comments, if your parents didnt have any role in your birth.

Do you know, Who was the Highest scorer for india in 1996, 2003 and 2011 World Cups?

And about 1992, We didn't know, India Played a KnockOut game against South Africa. As far as we know, it was South Africa vs England and England Won.

Do you know, Who was the Highest Scorer in the only 2 ODIs were india Won in group matches?

And about 1996, Have you ever seen that match India vs SriLanka? Your comment about that match is childish. Just 2 months before, that match was a hot news for media.

in 2011, Semi Final and Quarter Final was not a Knowckout Match?

Go and get well soon my friend.

concept of retirement
by sarath on Feb 22, 2012 04:02 PM

There is no cocept of retirement with we Indians. We live in past glory neglecting our present status. We indians die for popularity as it brings advertisements and pot full of money. You turn over the pages of history-leaving Gavasker and Vizy no body opted for retirement including Kapil Dev. Learn it at the right time: People should ask you why you took retirement and not why you did not take it?We are hero worshipers. Make one fifty you are safe for five matches, make one hundred you are in the side for 10 matches. Your runs may come against Bengladesh you still get applauds and cheers.

Sachin, Sehwag should quite ODI for their own good
by Rockey V on Feb 22, 2012 04:02 PM

Schin and Sehwag at least for the sake of younger players and for the sake of the country should quit IDI. They must continue in Test matches. Sachin must make his century of centuries by playing in Text matches. Gambir still has power.

How good it was if Sachin,Dravid and Laxman retired after WC(Ofcourse no Dravid/Laxman in WC).
We could have blamed youngsters for worst performance in England and Australlia and satisfied ourselves that it all happened due to retirement of seniors.

No doubt they are great cricketer but age has catched on them. Like some english cricketer did in the past they should give way for other aspiring players for the sake of Indian Cricket

dear readers, no matter how much we shout or even give advice to selectors, this is a fact that indian selection committee does not have the guts to show doors to non-performing senior players. You can call it public sympathy or groupism or politics, name it whatever you can, but it is a fact. now leave the selection committee, does the players themselves have the shame to opt out of the game if they are not performing continuously, that also does not happen in India. We as spectators will keep on barking but of no use.

Slight difference of opinion. Selection panel doesn't have guts to drop only Sachin. They have the guts to drop Dravid, Laxman, Sewag or Ghambir.
