sachin

rotation policy should not be used for sachin. let him play all matches so that he will get more chances to prove his worthlessness to the team. but then i am sure he will fake some injury and sit out the games if he feels he is struggling. and then will turn up for india's next series to try and get his 100th 100.

Turnaround
by Ajai Jacob on Feb 19, 2012 10:40 PM  | Hide replies

India has won the last world cup(on Indian soil) which is enough for Indians for the next 25 years.
Remember the celebrations at the time of the world cup win.It was as if India has won the football world cup.See the state of affairs now.Utter shame.
Indians are eternally patient. We can wait for another 25-30 years till the next world cup win(on home soil?),while the aussies or others go on winning!!!

just imagine for a moment, how we Indians would celebrate if we ever managed to win a football WC....

I know its impossible for India to even qualify for football WC for the next 1000 years, but in a star starved nation where hero worshiping has reached delirium, it would be quite an understatement if I could say that we Indians would build temples for our soccer players and keep worshiping them till eternity if at all such an event ever happens..

that most of the players play this game of cricket only for records...
This is a game where records matter more than anything else...
Alas, cricket cannot produce the same kind of fearless, intimidating and truly talented batsmen like Sir Viv Richards.....

So am I
by Ram Shyam on Feb 19, 2012 09:41 PM  | Hide replies

I am playing as well as the best batsman in the world. I just get out the 2nd or thrid ball that I face. It's just a case of the timing of my dismissal.

Why can't I open the inning with Sachin then?

if they can score a double on their day, I can score a triple ton on my day... provided the game is played on the playground besides my residence...

DROPPED OR RETIREMENT
by ALLADI on Feb 19, 2012 09:34 PM  | Hide replies

Is there any body who will tell Sachin must be dropped now ? They will tell Laxman must be dropped, Rahul should take retirement but not Sachin. Sachin will take another 100 matches to complete his 100th centuries. Till that time whether he will continue. Shastri, you at least tell Trndulkar must be dropped or request Sachin to take his RETIREMENT.

Age is/was never criteria in cricket its always performance..bradman,gooch,sanath all played ..played too good till their fourites...SO talking abt old is not a sensible thing..

Sachin spoiling the entire team combination. He was good when he was young but now he is getting worst innings by innings and troubling entire team.Entire team is now on a understand to play rotation role and also playing rotation role in the media by captain, Selectors and BCCI to keep sachin play to achieve his milestone.

True, Sivaramakrishnan and Sohail. I also forgot to add Denni Morrison. May be he should be at #8 in my list.

But I think Arunlal is lot lot better then this worst bunch. He is not fleshy but atleast has some good insights and balanced view of his own..

A. Desilva and Jayasuriya, hard to comment on as they can't speak English well and so makes very little sense..

On Nichols, I remeber the 2nd Ashes test and Clark getting out. The ball went to the fielder and Nichols got all excited thinking ball went through fielder and started singing grace for Clark.

Within a second he realized the ball was caught and this con changed his tune faster then speed of light, and started hammering Clark for being so irresponsible. It was so funny that I still have that clip saved in my hard drive.
