i agree with ravi..but he should have added one more, to please ask sachin to hang his boots in ODIs to prolong his test career. a player like ravi is an utility player, what sunny was to ravi is now ravi is to sachin..sachin should take his words seriously.

i would say players like rohit, virat, tiwary, rahul/ ashwin should always be in the eleven..time for viru, sachin to retire gracefully..

Quiet Right.
I also want to add one string to it - The so called expert commentators like Shastri, Gavaskar should also hang the boots from commenting. It's been quiet long and they are biased grocely.

Sachin shld gracefully retire. Even 99 itself is a good record. No one can beat it.

Australia has got the hang of Sachin
by Surojit Dutta on Feb 20, 2012 01:47 AM  | Hide replies

It has always been loudly proclaimed by Sachin himself that he does not play for records. So that way even without a 100th 100 he will remain great. So where does the question of pressure comes ? It is just that Australia have got the hang of him and at this stage of his carrier he is definitely finding it difficult to cope with the bouncy pitches and the moving ball whether in England or in Australia.

As Sachin loyalists Shastri, etc. with their comments are just trying to buy some more time for him.

Abslutely right what you said.

Shastri and Gavaskars are now really buying time for Sachin to remain in team. I saw one comment from Dhoni today. "The top three are slow for the reason to be not in first 11". Which I feel is very bold and also right.

Sachin by remaining in team is only doing disgrace for himself.

Better advise would have been India should forget cricket itself and concentrate on local sports like Kabbaddi and Kho Kho!

Shastri and Sunny are always Sachin's lobbist. There are couple of more lobbist like Arun LAL as well.

Selectors should never play to their commentary tunes ever. Go fairly by in-form and long term cricketers.

Afterall wats great deal if sachin doesnt score his 100th. TO say it frank Sachin has never played under pressure and particularly chasing, except for once we all remember the Sharjah.
He had the advantage of opening to score this big. So many factors were to his advantage to be at this level. So Sachin with all dignity, its better he calls it quits.

Shastri is no Sachin Fanatic. He is the con artist. He knows if he keeps doing Sachin Bhajan, Mumbai Cricket will root for him in BCCI.

Shastri is no good for Indian cricket, he is just getting rich at the cost of Indan cricket..

Sachin become panic against Aussies Challenge ?
by km vb on Feb 19, 2012 11:49 PM  | Hide replies

It seems Sachin has become panic against Aussies challenge that they will not allow sachin to score his 100th ton.
Bombay commentators and media had to support Sachin to keep him alive in the team.when sachin fails to perform,Bombay commentators will come up with some news directly or indirectly to keep sachin alive in the team till he achieves his 100th Ton.

and just to add no youngster in the team has the ability to score a double hundred against a team like south africa and we blame sachin that he doesnt perform in imp matches had it not been for sachin india would have never reached 2003 world cup finals had it not been sachins knock against pakistan in semis in 2011 worldcup india would have not even been able to win the cup.

Sachin Tendulkar
by original on Feb 19, 2012 11:30 PM  | Hide replies

It's not about tendulkar or his milestone. India lacks real HERO's and provided there are few, who are doing their work quitely in some remote areas or where they are noticed. Life is frustrating in indain(barring some ppl) and one always need ppl whom we look upon.(All the adages motivation come from inside is not applicable barring some individuals) We always look forward to matinee Stars(Bad choice for ido as everything is hyped about them. They are some of the most priviliged human beings) or crickters as it takes our minde off complex realities like Work, money, marriage, cast, creed, religion, social status and give us sort of drug effect. We feel good ,cry and tension is release.

Decades and centuries ago we didn't have communication tools as advancd as we do have now, hence all rumuors, superstition and false information took place. It has it's own advantages too i.e. less information mind's were clamer.

Now we have all sort of tools and information is controlled by govts, agencies, politician's businessmen OR in 1 world owners of respective country. We are feeded in terms of information what owner of country wants us to feed.
Now coming back to the Topic
Tendulkar
He is an exemplary crickter on and off field. Problem starts when he is treated like GOD and when the same information is being fed to individual from everywhere , he is bound to go down by weight of expectations. In my opinion he is one of the finest but never the BEST.
