To all dhoni bashers...
by deenu shetty on Feb 16, 2012 08:46 AM

Firstly,if you play n follow cricket dont act like fools.Look up its fact that that in indias succefull runchaces dhoni finished unbeaten n given india victory...Remember India hardly found any wk batman after kirmani....dhoni comes in wk,bat and captain.Believe me those 49 matches if dhoni had got out we all know how indian tailanders hold bat.
Dont simply comment for the sake of it.If possible appreciate dhoni.
Jai ho,
from a true cricket fan

Dhoni latest statement. Out of mind. Pathetic
by ccfan227 on Feb 16, 2012 06:15 AM  | Hide replies

"What we want is, all the players should be fit by the time we come into the finals," Dhoni said. "All of them should be scoring runs by that time. It's a good exposure. Rohit [Sharma] is a very talented guy. Manoj Tiwary is on the bench. He scored in the last series that he played, so we are giving ample chances to them because these are players who, for sure, will come back to Australia once we play the next World Cup. There is no surety that some of us who are playing [will return], Sachin [Tendulkar] or Viru [Virender Sehwag] or even Gautam, all of us are 30-plus, and it's big out-fields out here. So it's about giving the youngsters a fair exposure as to how difficult it is or how easy it is, or how different it is to play here."

Basically, he thinks rested players can come immediately into form. Out of mind, pathetic. Basically, he does understand the concept of rotation policy

Guys, its all over, we will loose the series.

It's not just about the series, we need to prepare the younger generation as well. On one hand we talk about phasing the seniors slowly and the other hand we don't want to give juniors an opportunity, then how will the transition happen. We may win the battle, but loose the war.

Man, we all know that but you did not get the context of Dhoni. First learn to understand what others are saying before you give out ur view. The point ur talking about is not being realized by Dhoni. He is thinking other way. Go through his message properly

Iam an Indian cricket Fan - a true Fan of Indian cricket and Iam from AP state

First of all ,we lost test series ,it hurts

But I request any pressure from media or others

i)I still feel Ex Indian cricketers like Kapil dev are best for indian cricket team

ii)I also feel that ,if BCCI does professional steps -pitches ,better selection of reserve bowlers etc

Indian cricket will come back
======
I lived in australia for long time
I can feel some vested interests due to political reasons are directing their anger and revenge to

i)to strike at soft targets like Indian cricket

ii)pitch Dhoni fans vs Sachin Fans using media and posting comments

these are people of indian heritage in some cases convinance with aussies

so I request BCCI to be vigilint
I also request all indian ex cricketers ,fans unite and stand together

UNITED WE STAND
DIVIDED WE FALL

OUR ENEMIES ARE PLOTTING DIVISIONS USING SOME VESTED INTERESTS LIKE MEDIA and some Indian heritage people who have political grouse against Indian govt ,which is now directed at every indian soft target

so please be attentive and be aware of the CUNNING FOXES that are disguising and posting comments on the web

@Indian fans - be careful Indian Cricket is split vertically
by rama anne on Feb 16, 2012 04:24 AM

I think Indias enemies are plotting
Divisions in the Indian team and India itself
========
Now a days there are lots of Indias enemies
it could be people from neighbouring countries as well

i)They have started a media campiagn to target Indian senior players after test series

ii)Now they are splitting Indian team vertically as two
something like Dhoni Fans vs Sachin Fans etc

This is a mental ploy to pitch Indian cricket fans against each other and destroy the psyche of Indian Cricket

Beware of these Indian enemnies ,I live in Australia and I have experienced these people ,they are having grudge against India ,and any opportunity comes ,especailly Indian cricket a soft target ,they are attacking

Look around Indias neighbours ,all directions and think a bit ,you will understand

Also most comments are by the same people ,they are posting again and again as if Indian cricket fans

He plays for India's fame
by Raj on Feb 16, 2012 01:39 AM  | Hide replies

1. Stays away from Gavaskar - the most selfish guy in cricket- has no influence
2. Does not play for record - like Sachin & Gavaskar do
3. He is a leader who has the back bone to take risks and is not a sidekick - like Sastri
4. HE is smart and not a bitter guy - like Ganguly

He is the best we got and he knows when to retire- he said he will hang his boots in test next year- unlike KApil, Gavaskar, Shewag, Sachin, Dravid and Laxman...

Jai hind

Before deciding who should be the captain of the team ?
by Nikhil Shah on Feb 16, 2012 12:05 AM  | Hide replies

A cricketing board should decide how a captain is selected and it should not be arbitrary or on a trail and error basis. A captain of an Indian team need to have personality traits required to handle the job. Did the selectors do enough research and analysis to decide who the captain should be ? A young captain who lead a bunch of established seniors can cause issues. Seniors players feel short changed and ignored and sometimes feel being pushed around.

Dhoni has been making errors that need correction

1. The late declarations in the NZ test series
2. Giving Praveen K the new ball for 69 ODIs
3. Piyush Chawla in the WC as untested player
4. Preference for slower bowlers
5. Preferences for too much line and length
6. Defensive waiting game in matches
7. Defensive field placements
8. Too many singles in ODIs
9. The current fiasco of waiting till the end

There could be discussions on his technique on his batting and other issues not relevant to leadership skills. But sometimes it is confusing why Dhoni is making some real strange decisions. Some might argue that his success has been due to that. I personally feel that India has immense talent and resources to overcome in Cricket and sometimes the white washes overseas can be looked into in finding the answers.

French Cuisine
Dhoni handles pressure well
by French Cuisine on Feb 15, 2012 10:41 PM

He is an extremely cool guy and has immense mental strength. That is his great quality. But, I don't really appreciate the Rambo acts in the last two games - but you have to admit that he is capable of doing those Rambo acts of last minute finishes. Take the last match for example, By simple logic of a 50 over cricket game there should be no hiccups in chasing down 230 when your opener scores a century. True there are middle order collapses - but since the middle order is incapable of finishing what the opener did we should have lost the game. Since I/we have watched enough cricket we understand the game, and by the logic of the game and giving due respect to the opponent's hard work we should have lost. Last over rambo acts do not amuse me, specially after taking so much beating in test matches. You simply are not a top-class cricketer if you cannot bat out a whole day in a test match against a top-class bowling attack. No footwork or technique, only a dumb swing of the bat and bottom hand action. Last over stunts and weird ad campaigns for potato chips to coca-cola : advise people not to fall for this gimmick. THere are other more impressive sportsmen.
