time has come for this giant of game to hang boots. he simple is not in form and physical signs are showing. He is no tendulkar or dravid or laxman to continue to have spark because of his drinking problem. After the opening experiment failed he should be decent enough to announce it

Agree with you. rediff is calling dhoni only a best finisher and indirectly telling he is not a best batsman.bcci must act upon this and stop funding rediff
He admitted in the post presentation he was playing slow intentionally. He said something like "..let us let the RR go upto 9 and then we will see..". Visionary captain indeed! He did this intentionally to perform his Rambo act in the last over. It was all foolishness IMO.

raises question that is he capable of playing only for 30 - 40 runs? i believe that he is capable of playing long innings which he promised early in his career. one can reason that he is doing wicket keeping and cannot come up the order because of tiredness. if that is the case he can well put another wk batsman and play as a pure batsman. anyway his wicket keeping is not good enough. he enjoys the luxury of failing and stating that he is a wicket keeping captain.

Dhoni comes early in innings when India is in good position and loss of his wicket won't matter. Whenever India is in crisis, Dhoni as always comes down the order so as to perform his rescue act or to become martyr along the way.
public memory is very short. Only a fortnight ago we are firing Dhoni left right and center and asking him to resign. Now the same man is being hailed as super hero. These are the ways of life

that is test match sir. he is too good a odi player to be criticised. still he should resign as test captain.
Dhoni may be brand ambassadors to many companies but Dhoni has also appointed few brand ambassadors who are trying their best to save him prestige and trying to make gullible fans forget India's defeat in the hand of Australia and England with shameless margins of 0-4 each.
Such repeatitive humiliating defeat never happened in tests under the captaincy of Ganguly,Tendulkar,Kumble,Dravid,Azhar or Kapil pa jee..
no doubt about that. but he needs to come at no 4 to play some long innings. playing the last 30 - 40 runs is not a big deal for dhoni. in fact there are so many players to do that like raina, jadeja, yousuf pathan, even harbajan would do that. instead he should come regularly at no 4 and play long innings. may be, it is only may be dhoni also tries to come late the order to keep his average healthy. one would like to see what he is doing when he comes regularly at no 4.

It's people like u who talk of averages, who may not held a bat in hand. A true cricketer will not talk about averages, but only about results. Remember Dhoni is wicketkeeper captain and the pressure is more when top order does not deliver.

If one has to hold a bat to talk about cricket, no one can talk about cricket except the cricketers. I have not mentioned anything wrong about dhoni. I told that he is capable of more than just 30 - 40 runs and also said only may be he is coming down the order to keep his average good. in the t20 first match just because he came late and played slowly india had lost. in the very next match he came early at no 4 when the target was just 130 and we had a good start. so my reading of dhoni has some weightage to show.

You don~t have any knowledge about cricket match and especially against opposition like Australia. They will never give you single inch. What you say about Rohit he played lofted shot and gave away his wicket.What Dhoni is trying to bring a culture in the team to without we can win without playing riskie shots. If you keep the wickets in hand and reach closer to the target, then you have to play less no. of riskier shots and reach the target. But people like you just just want to see few boundries and sixes even ready to loose the match. Indian team has got very few cricket with a stable mind like Dhoni middle of the ground. But It doesn~t mean that Dhoni is beyond human,Opposition is also playing for win, some day he doesn~t click. But his method only bring us many wins in past and future.

thanks for your certificate sir. first of all you have not understood what i was saying. dhoni has to come at no 4 and play long innings to guide the team to safety or victory. this sort of 30-40 innings anybody can play. last match jadeja and ashwin played for 60 odd runs. as dhoni is too good a player he should not restrict himself with this cameo knocks. take more responsibility when you are capable of. that is what i was saying. clear!

Dear Ravi, Now you corrected your statement,your earlier statement was that Dhoni comes later the order for his keep his average better. Now I absolutly agree with you that he should come atleast 4th down and build the inning. In present senario it will help the team more than he is coming down the order. Now days he takes more time to settle down. But still he is the best finisher in this shorter version of game.Raina or Jadeja can play big shot when they see Dhoni is still behind them. If you see last 3-4 years, this guy is always their to carry the burden of team, other stars like Shehwag, Uvi,Gambhir, Raina,Elder Pathan, Rohit are not consistant enough like Dhoni. Above mention players have better batting abilities but they loose their wicket in crucial times.
