About the time, India start doing what England started 8 yrs ago, hold every player responsble for there current performance and not let them rest on there past accomplishemnts..
when eng won the series last time in 1985 Gavaskar was captain and if my memory is correct then i remember that Gavaskar dropped KapilDev for calcuuta test because kapil played a very bad /irresponsible shot in the Delhi Test which cost the match for India and this gave chanc to play Azhar his first test at calcutta. So we should take similar type of bold steps to save Indian cricker. Selectors just sharpen your knives and try to clip of wings of so called great cricketers

what you are saying is correct. However along with Kapil, Sandeep Patil was dropped. Patil was responsible for playing a poor shot after scoring 41. That is what gave Azhar his chance. Kapil scored a poor shot after scoring scoring either 7 or 15. While it was justified the, on the hindsight it was harsh punishment. Kapil and Patil were both ultra-agressive batsman suited for 1 day game rather than defensive game.
Having said this, it is time to get rid of Sehwag, Gambhir and Tendulkar must go. Sehwag and Tendulkar permanently.
Now atlast we know ,who are real test players...No use in digging at Dhoni...If we get Dravid and Laxman back to the team...if they are willing t cancel their retirement...
where were you srikanth till now ... any why did take any drastic steps to improve indian cricket standards when you feel dhoni shud NOT be captain in test then under your supervision he was never touched... shame on you all you people destroy india's winning chances... who else are to be blamed. you look for money and position so you cannot take right decision during your selector tenure... now y are you giving these statments.

At last Srikkanth had the courage to speak the right words though too late. Dhoni should have been removed after series against Australia. England now have shown whatever you can do, they can do better. On our pitches, their spinners were more effective, and their batsmen played our spinners comparatively freely. Having seen that, Dhoni did the most foolish thing to have four spinners in Nagpur, a wasteful exercise. In fact both Dhoni and Tendulkar are greedy and only playing for money. It is high time we get rid of them for Tests atleast.
