Though Srinivasan and India Cements have patronised cricket for decades, there is a shift in attitude after the start of IPL. Although BCCI President can overrule the decisions of the selection committee, it is a bad precedent. In future, he can himself select the team and there is no need for a separate selection committee if it is dysfunctional.

But he can definitely over rule when he sees that the only solution suggested by his incompetent selectors for improving Indian cricket is sacking Dhoni who is on verge of a test record of sorts. You don't chop off your head to relieve a head ache!!
why bring panic when team india already in big mess.Why not Amarnath ji say before this series about all this.Wish Team India wins the fourth .Good luck Team India...
the tragedy of indian cricket is that performance has taken a back seat . why people are still playing inspite of consecutive failures is because of their g0df0rsaken g0df@thers who are goading them not to quit. Prime examples are the great gas bag tendya & once -upon - a -time-good MSD.
Recently Mumbai High Court rules that Gopichand who has a private coaching institute and was also national selector is wrong -conflict of Interest .Now Sreenivasan and BCCI president with Franchaise of IPL - does it not apply .Of course with sharad powar and Rajeev Shukla etc we know BCCI is above any law and also is not to be covered by sports ministry - this is India .

the answer is obvious, gopichand is national selector of badminton association of india,a govt body,bcci is an autonomous body,therefore srinivasan can hold not 2 but 4/5 posts.
