When we cannot participate in Olympics
and stand last in the medal tally,
why do we need this game cricket, it
should be banned, waste of time.

Why coach to be made a scapegoat.
by rongala srinivas on Dec 10, 2012 11:05 PM  | Hide replies

Why coach to be made a scapegoat?. When 11 players of international standard can not perform to their caliber, what team coach can do? Why Sachin is given too many opportunities?. In the case of Lakshman, he had been shown the door and made to quit forcibly. So also Dravid. When age is a factor for them, why not to Sachin?.Why at all a senior player like Sachin, older than Dravid and LAkshman, to be given too many opportunities to prove his case?.Let us say he would take another 10 tests to score a 100, then he will be retained for another two years. MAke him retire first. Give opportunity to young players.

I completly supports Rongala Srinivas....Sachin is for records... His 100 centuries are made for his own benefit not for team benefit... Sachin is not team man.. He should have taken complete rest from the cricket after 2011 world cup.. But :( His 100th century was against Bangladesh..Hahahaha.....Why different rules for dravid, laxamn and ganguly..??? BCCI a corrupt body.. I hope Arvind Kejrewal will bring all those money making officials of BCCI on the road.... Hate Sachin for not playing for team...

support rongala. Sachin became great because of Indian Cricket and the Cricket fans and so he can't be taken more than Indian cricket . If Indian cricket suffers because of his presence in the team, he should go. Yes, it is a matter to see whether Indian cricket is suffering from his presence or because of consistent non performance of various others, callousness of a few ( all first 7 put together scoring 100 odd runs or frontline pacer getting 1 wicket in 2 matches , spinners together performs at less than 50% efficiency of their counter parts or an unimaginative captain who rode on his luck but now deserted by lady luck.all these are questions to be pondered. And selectors have to show some spine while taking decisions and should not get swayed by individual personae at the cost of performance .

Fletcher is invinsible
by archana gupta on Dec 10, 2012 11:04 PM  | Hide replies

Fletcher has achieved, which no white man could achieve in last 30 years. Indian Team loosing miserably at home ground. Even Steve Waugh, could not conquer the Last Frontier. But Fletcher has managed it. Now along with Jaichand, Mir Zafar, Vibhishan, we have one more name-DUNCAN FLETCHER.

Kersie Madon
Duncan Flecher.
by Kersie Madon on Dec 10, 2012 10:45 PM

Duncan Fletcher is not made a scapegoat. Coach is responsible if the team repeatedly fails. What else is the coach appointed for? Team India is missing the expertise of Gary Kerstein. He, alongwith his support staff was a dedicated coach. Coach does make a difference. We need a foreign specialised bowling coach beside a new coach to replace Duncan Fletcher. Would Steve Waugh be a good coach if we can't get Gary Kerstein back? 2ndly, selectors are to blame. 2 days ago, TOI has recommended new players. We need to induct young, aspiring players who are raring to play for National team & cement their place in our national team by giving good performance. TOI has suggested some brilliant performers. Its high time we give youngsters a chance to prove themselves with good performances. Our selection is poor.
