do not joke and avoid personal feeling in game.Any cricket match any palce depend upon the players performance. You should have winning young people who are thriving to outperform not ony to perform.Captain should be ready to adopt any player instead of own chahita person?

Changing Captain is not bad !!!
by Ricky topping on Dec 09, 2012 10:57 PM

Here's why :

Dhoni's body language throughout this match and most part of the earlier two matches were not positive and affirmative.

He didn't at all seem to inspire the players on the field.

His personal form was found wanting.

A captaincy change (for whatever reason) is not a bad idea.

England during its 1988 series with West Indies had 4 captains in 5 matches. MIKE GATTING in the first Test; JOHN EMBUREY in the second & third test (he lost both tests); CHRIS COWDREY in the fourth test; and GRAHAM GOOCH for the last & fifth test.

A totally new captain also has precedents. MIKE BREARLY (in the seventies)for England and LEE GERMON for New Zealand - and both of them brought life back in their respective teams.

It will not be out of place if the selectors put their thinking caps for the next series at least in an attempt to rejuvenate the spirit of the team.

Dhoni asked for Turning pitches and Failing in them
by satishgs on Dec 09, 2012 10:43 PM

As if Indian batsmen having great skills in facing against Spin, our captain asked for Turning pitches to be prepared, now England came and showed Indians how to play, while Indian team became hapless and hopeless spectators while England relished the pitch,

Its a real shame that none of the team members are capable at this time play against quality spinners or pace bowling. We had good players before, but they are all become history now.

The current team consists a set of losers who cannot beat even the lowest ranked team in ICC forget about holding a challenge to England.

BCCI is nerveless and directionless, having Sachin to continue shows extremely bad thinking.

Dhoni is not fit to lead in Tests. He should simply quit Test cricket captaincy, and play a second fiddle or even leave the team now, there are better wicket keeper batsmen in India, like Dinesh Karthik.

Bowling unit is total disarray, not even one bowler today in India is worth talking about, but for Ohja. Rest are waste players, tired and exhausted.

India should join the second rung group of Canada, Dutch, Dubai, Afganistan, Kenya, and allow Bangladesh and Zimbabwe to move up the ladder.

At least there in the second rung group, India might get ICC Rank 1 in test Cricket.

Well he has the killer instinct and does not fit in. I was looking at his run up and action along with his temperament. He is needed to wake up the other guys.

Sreeshanth can bowl much faster than the medium pacers in the current team...if Umesh Yadav is also with him, i feel that they both can do something with their pace...

Nobody have guts to kick sachin
by sarkar on Dec 09, 2012 10:30 PM  | Hide replies

Its so sad to see the extreme of VIP culture in India. Sachin has become bigger than the team and the nation.
BCCI and retired players have no guts to speak against sachin. He is just playing for his endorsements, enjoyment and records. He is undoubtedly the most overhyped player in the history of any sports. Even if he retires now, everyone knows, its already late.
His image and reputation earned for 23 years have got a severe blow.

INDIA NEEDS PLAYERS WHO CAN PERFORM UNDER PRESSURE
by shivendra malik on Dec 09, 2012 10:18 PM

INDIA needs players who can perform under pressure.. seeing the performances of sachin, dravid and laxman... i believe sachin should have retired before them and they should have stayed back.. v only hd two players who always performed under pressure but unfortunately they were forced into retirement..
If INDIA has to lose now.. betr loose with younger players.. 8 losses in a row abroad and 2 at home.. i think its time they give importance to domestic cricket and get in players like pujara.. who hv performed at domestic level..
