Since all are experts in everything I suggest henceforth BCCI should disband Selection committee & make rediff bloggers to as a selection group and go by their bright wisdom!
Sachin should be dropped from the team without any further delay . He now can not dominate bowlers now. He is not performing but congress party is supporting him like anything. He is a Congressman now & has all the backing of BCCI. He may score one or two before retirement but that will do no good for Indian team overall .
Mr. Gavaskar has his own favourites. He is entitled to his views and preferences. However, the three blokes who are dropped have not performed and have had poor performances. Zaheer abd Harbhajan in particular have been non-performers for a whiule now and have been given enough opportunities to prove themselves. Unfortunately for them and for Mr. Gavaskar, these guys have not been able to deliver.

rightly said..these guys might be paying some amount to gavaskar to speak in thier favour.otherwise a test player would never support yuvraj, dhoni and kohli who do not have the right technique to play in test matches.
he shudnt intervene in between the selectors jobs.he stop playing politics.the selectors where right in dropping these aging players and giving a chance to new players in view of the future team building. Its a national side and we just cannot be emotional attached to players.there shud be a professional approach.
when india bat, there is the devil in the wicket. when india field there is the devil in the ground. when india bowl, there is the devil in the opponent's bats. capn cool and bcci have run out of ideas and excuses. the devil's is in the minds of these people
can't play abroad (doctored pitches - seaming, swinging, bouncing), can't play at home - capn cool has run out of ideas and excuses...best is to play on the moon and hope for the best
I cannot understand why everyone comes to Dhoni's defence on captaincy terms. It is just ridiculous.
We lost a lot. I don't mind losing. Trouble though is, throughout all these losses, there is nothing new that has been attempted. Sachin still comes as a No.2, the rest of the batting order still continues to be the same. The bowling attach is one-dimensional, and field positions are also predictable. There is absolutely nothing new being tried out there to stem the rot. Dhoni refuses to make any experiments and it is as if that he believes in going through the same motions, loss after loss. He scored a 50 in the first innings, why is it that he didn't promote himself up the order? Why is it then that a captain is needed? The only way to stem this rot is to drop every player who is more than 30 years old and to bring fresh blood. We sure may continue to lose for a couple of more years, but atleast, the next generation players will gain some experience. It is better to lose with newer players and have a hope for the future, rather than keep losing with older players and completely lose it in the future.
This is disgusting to see that Yuvi who has scored than Sachin is dropped for n9n performance???
Sachin has flopped consistently for nearly 3 years? why is he not dropped?is he greater than Cricket?it is a Shame that selectors are not able to drop him on performance!

Only 3 years? You could have easily said Sachin has failed for 30 years... ;-)

One liners are funny. But tell me frankly, is Sachin's performance good now?

OUR SELECTION COMMITTEE COMPRISES MEDIOCRES AND LITTLE ELSE. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE GUTS TO SACK SACHIN TENDULKAR.
