Why axe Zaheer and not Sachin?
by Injun Abhi on Dec 09, 2012 11:27 PM  | Hide replies

Zaheer has alo given many yrs to Indian cricket just the way Sachin did.

The fact is Zaheer's performance has deteriorated and so he was rightly dropped and the same way Sachin should be dropped too..

Also Yuvraj and Bhajji shouldn't have been recalled in test team to begin with. Yuvraj is great player for limited overs cricket but not for Test cricket and Bhajji has been non performer for last two yrs.

Gambhir is very much in the same boat as Bhajji and he is lucky to be in the team..

Gavaskar is just bluffing on TV as he gets paid by TV channels to appear on their shows..

Is there any bowling record Zaheer holds?
Zaheer cannot bowl for long hours effectively without getting injured
He is a good bowler surely but cannot be remotely compared with Sachin

One can surely expect sachin to score 100 in his next match, but zaheer does not have enough pace or endurance for him to take match winning 3-4 wickets in an innings

ha.. Obviosly you're a diehard Sachinfan. The fact is most are not expecting even 50 runs from Sachin in next match. The one who expects 100 from Sachin is YOU :)

He is very much like Zaheer, a spent force

Zahir also need respected fairwell as was given to Anil Kumbale, Sourav Ganguli, Rahul Dravid & VVS Laxman. He has also served India and guided new bowlers. The great Denise Lilli thinks that Zaheer is the best that has come out of MRF Pace foundation. His fairwell should be planned. It is unfair to do it by dropping him.

Mr. Gavaskar is right
by Ajeet Singh on Dec 09, 2012 10:24 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Gavaskar, you are right sir. I hope the selection committee has taken a note of your observation. Bhajji and Yuvi have certainly become soft targets.

And, Ajeet, it is because the selectors havee no guts to touch Sachin and Dhoni. Are they paying bribes to the selectors?

Thanks Pramod, I do not understand on what grounds Sachin continues to be in the team. he should be thrown out and Dhoni should be stripped of captaincy.

Why Dhoni is not dropped even after 0-4 in Eng, 0-4 in Aus and now 1-2 in India against Eng ?? How long are BCCI going to wait ??? Is it till India is thrown out by ICC from tests ???

Virat should be spared as he is just starting his test career. He has shown his talent consistenly in ODIs and this is his first failure.

The one who needs to be dropped is Gambhir, and then Dhoni..

Who should open?
by paritosh Dubey on Dec 09, 2012 09:50 PM  | Hide replies

Lets open with Waseem Jaffer and Ashwin. Both these one day champs Sehwag and Gambhir should be kicked out. Sachin should be kicked out too and Rohit Sharma should be included. Virat Kohli should be booted out and Badrinath should be a natural choice.

It is better to make Kohli as captain and lose some matches, rather than lose with Dhoni as captain.

yuvi...bhajji sacked
by dibyendu paul on Dec 09, 2012 09:37 PM

the first person who deserves to be sacked is DHONI. He's not satisfied with the washing he has got!!. If he has any self respect, he should have stepped down HIMSELF. For gods sake look at his footwork....he has none of it. Test cricket is not a game of BRAWNS. BRAINS are needed. Dosen't our selectors know that????. Dhoni just does not deserve a place in the test team. He's ok at the T20 level with his bottom hand agricultural and helicopter shots.....but my dear dhoni tEST CRIKET NEEDS STRATEGISING AND PLANNING.....A DEPARTMENT WHICH IS NOT THERE IN YOUR DICTIONARY
