Chawla has a terrific World Cup record:
by anup kale on Aug 28, 2012 06:52 PM  | Hide replies

Which WC ?? his record is 4/174 at 43.50 for his only 2011 WC (a total flop), T20 WC record is 1/55. He was not part of any 2007 cup. So, sounds like some mistake here. Beyond that his IPL record is, 16 wickets at 26.18 and 106 runs at 13.25. So, probably IPL and Dhoni's favor may have won him a chance.

Now anna hazare &team MUST fight to Ban Useless Test Cricket! Can he do that at least NOW as a patriotic duty for the nation???Who cares for Boring and Poverty-producing and useless TEST CRICKET and Long duration ranji&duleep trophy cricket, etc??? THIS GAME OF CRICKET WAS INTRODUCED BY CROOKED AND WICKED BRITISHERS LIKE MAKING AND MARKETING OF MAHATMA AND non-violence dirty trick to make all majority hindus mmorrns and ennuchs and cowards forever and the past 64 years shows that the crooked britishers were successful to make us a BANANA REPUBLIC of majority morrons with their dirty games, we must BAN Test Cricket forever and WE must shout that we will not allow Boring and Poverty-producing and useless TEST CRICKET to make us poorer any more. One day cricket or t20 or t30 cricket ONLY must be allowed and THEY MUST BE ALLOWED TO BE PLAYED ONLY ON WEEK-ENDS OR HOLIDAYS so that we do not lose millions of working hours of men and women and youth any more and we do not remain poor forever due to useless and time-wasting and Boring TEST Cricket too. All patrrioti c citizens and sponsors MUST BOYCOT TEST Cricket and ranji and dulepp trophy cricket FORVER if they love the nation and want the nation to be super power in next 20 or 25 years too!

Piyush Chawal is not lucky mascot.
by Suvendu Sahoo on Aug 28, 2012 06:52 PM  | Hide replies

Piyush Chawala was also in 2010 T-20 world cup. But we could n't manage to win it. I think u might have guessed by now. It is S SREESANTH who is the lucky mascot for team India. He was in 2007 & 2011 and in both we emerged as champion. So my request is to rediff to convey selectors to include Sreesant ASAP.

Why always supporting seniors & estabilished players
by meridien on Aug 28, 2012 06:47 PM  | Hide replies

Ganguly supporting VVS Lax, Shewag, Tendulkar, Harbajan.... These fellows are in the team for more than 10~15 years; showing as very strong team when it matters these fellows will fail...

Ganguly never support VVS every one knows how badly he treated in 2007 WC. Anil Kumble captaincy had given a chance to VVS in which he faired excellent.

Everyone knows Ganguly supported Sehwag, Zak, Yuvi, Bhajji

He is good for nothing at the moment. His onfield behaviour leaves a lot to be desired. Good riddance.
