Indian cricket

It is unfortunate that many of us mistake success in shorter version to be cricketing glory. True cricket is where you slog for 5 days which is the ultimate test for grit, determination & oes true talent.
As one of the observers on the board has said, in few years, Indian cricket shallbe like our present hockey is not without merits.
We should watch out.. none of the present indian cricket players may have the grit & stamina to lost 5 days!
They want to play for 4 hours & dine & dance for the rest of the day!!

none r replaceable! but how they r replaced and under what condition, matters!

both were decent gentlemen players! such people r less seen nowadays in Indian top class cricket! just like sincere honest ones from the top of the pick indian politicians in India are raitity! self glorifying and scratching one another's back are the norm nowadays!

Laxman's last hurrah

Great guys, sad to see bow out after so many exciting years, but it happens even to the best.
But you'd think that with 1.3 billion population and Cricket being The Sport of the land, that finding a hundred replacement for any one cricketer, even at the level of Laxman or Dravid, wouldn't be that difficult??
What does it say about the state of development of cricket talent in the land?

Pl Sachiin, retire !
by Hemanth kumar on Aug 19, 2012 09:56 PM  | Hide replies

Most of us feel that it is Sachin should have called it a day, unfortunately it turned out to be Laxman. Laxman has at least two years of good cricket left in him. Laxman is a real test class batsman. Time has come for us to start a slogan 'Sachin, take rest and become a full time MP'. Bcoz we are fed up with his records, which are nothing to do with Indias victories. India was never short of great batsman.

congratz for our badri for finally getting recognised for his talent
srikant sir deserves kudos for taking these steps. now future of indian test cricket is in safe hands of ashwin and badri. hope both sehwag and gambhur fail miserably so that mukund and murali vijay get back the places they rightly deserve. also i would love to see balaji and sreesanth in the team. if that happens india will be no 1 once again
