all, indian cricket is going nowhere
by cc man on Aug 10, 2012 07:35 PM

Now that same team has been selected that has failed miserably in eng and aus, indian cricket is going nowhere. Laxman,Raina,Ishant and Chawla selections are worst and pathetic. All these 4 players does not deserve place. Raina is in test squad because he is dhoni pet

How is that Chawla in both the teams
by Ravi Kiran on Aug 10, 2012 07:11 PM  | Hide replies

It is really surprising what made the selectors to include Piyush Chawla in both the teams (Test & T-20). Mr.Srikant should explain his selection instead of saying he has selected the best team.

I guess Amit Mishra is a better bet for tests. Chawla does not flight the ball as much as Mishra since he is so much into T20 and ODI mode! Guess selectors want to see how good he is!

you mean either south is India or only North is India?

And so called Maharashtra, Gujrat, Rajsthan (the non hindi speaking states or western states) and 7 sisters of the north east are not part of India?

Please justify what south means to India or you are actually from NON INDIAN COUNTRY?

Vande Mataram !!!

That South Indians are united is a myth proven again and again! Previously films and cricket used to unite us. Now even these divide us quite clearly. Good thing is that every group is in a minority so nobody actually wins the majority contest! Indians are well and truly divided about supporting even cricket players. Otherwise how can you justify criticism of including Ashwin or Laxman or Saha or Raina on the basis of regional preference (not cricketing reasons) by selector?

Thanks Think Tank...you are probably one of the precious few from North India who considers the entire country as a single entity. Most of the other Northies don't even know or consider the southern states as a part of India!

"Sachin should not be selected"
by Ajay on Aug 10, 2012 07:02 PM

Dear Cricket lovers that believe in
"Sachin should not be selected"
Oldest Olympian is 71 years old. He is not participating because there is no one younger in Japan. But he is better than anybody else old and young. Same with Sachin. In fact he is better than rest of 14 members in the team. If there was a younger player(s) better than Dhoni,Virat, Sehwag, Sachin, he would certainly make it to the team. We should not be partial to the younger team members as well.

sachin shd not be retire before 47 years... at least 7 years from now ... 2019/2020 he can think of retiring ...u r right .. there is no young talent who can replace sachin ... sachin can easily play another 2 world cups .if sachin used wisely .. typlical jealous northie bastrds trying to harm sachin ..we will wipe out these northies who will harm sachin.
