oh.. suddenly MI's chances of winning fifth edition of IPL looks so bright!! Now, Sachin can take time to talk to each team member so that they get inspired by his PEPSI talk and do well. What a sacrifice Sachin is doing for team's sake!!!

so he is selfish but left his captaincy .. if he continued he anyway would have been selfish.. and what exactly means personal milestones.. they are deducted from the teams account ? Or if a non-Indian scores any milestone like Lara scored 475 runs without giving other team chance to bat and not thinking of team win.. but since its Lara its an achievement.. Usual Indian Psyche !! :)

dear bhuno pro...first check scorecard and then comments..England got out first inning below 400 and forced to play follow on. in second WI dropped 4-5 catches...Lara was playing for the team which was never capable to bowled out opposition 2 times in five days wether is home or away. still that match turn draw because of lara's big inning else it wud have been another defeat in their record..

So you mean to say except for Dhoni all remaining players are selfish as they are not captains.:)Logic.Lollllllllll
Re: Re: UNFIT sachin
by Against Pseudos on Apr 03, 2012 10:11 AM
ROTFLMAO.. :)
And Dhoni can also be labelled selfish because he is not letting go of the captaincy despite debacles.. :) That brings the selfish count to a nice round eleven.. :)

Sachin the old aged still playing even after world cup win has demoralised players.May be it is there in players mind that the chance for the youngsters are being given after players sit on a bench for maximum matches.Players must be wondering what would be Sachin next record to achieve that making him to play even no player with true feeling wanting him to play further and further? India and captain lost its chance of qualifying for final in Asia Cup is best example.Okay happned is happaned INDIA lost Asia Cup chance but Sachin achieved his 100th Ton,so what else ? Why sachin still out there in the middle. This sort of feeling is hurting player as each one of them know how hard to get a chance to play for INDIA and how a chance is being given by selectors for each player. So why sachin as like other former players shown their way for youngsters a chance and made INDIA proud with 20-20 and 50-50 formats world cup winning, is not showing his way out? BCCI and Selector, do remember that ......It is very demoralising even for every one even for a child watching cricket in these days in INDIA loosing each series and Cup.

KM VB:
Why is INDIA losing each series and Cup? :) They should not do that. They should play for "personal" records and the team performance will improve as a whole.. :)

How do you know it? Were you called in party to sweep floor or clean the toilets. And you heard it all while working.Lollll
It's a no brainer..He knew deep down that he has never been captainacy materia. He might have been only hope in terms of batting for india for a long period, however he lacks leadership qualities. Ganguly with 1/4 of talent had it. It requires tought decisions, rational behavior, and ability to heckle ad get heckled at times. He has provided enough wonderful moments to india and thanks to media a god has been carved out of him.

Despite his genious and humble down to earth persona, he has his pitfalls as no human being is perfect. It' no his fault it's fault of society as we always search in others what we lack in ouselves. In reality an individul never lacks anything as we are born perfect and unique. It's society that has set standards which we must adhere to and strive to acheive hence all percieved imperfections. Since we are constantly conditioned against our nature we have created a neurotic society where we are unable to keep our emotions apart from rational.

Provided we analyze his records rationally one migt come to conclusion he is definitely a great player but not the best ever. There are so many players of his repute and statistics however they don't get such recognition as india is biggest cricket markt. On the positive side they are not scrtunized to such an extent and might have gone insane under such tremendouns amount of expectation and pressue. Eventhough i am no very impressed with his decision i.e. per say harbhajan as Captain however best of luck to him.
...Ambani's decision. Mukesh is a businessman and will not be swayed by emotions or popular sentiment. He has finally managed to convince Sachin that it is his and MI's best interest that he quits captaincy. Sachin's voluntarily handing over captaincy to Bhajji is stage managed to make him appear magnanimous.
leander paes achieved 50 career doubles titles. a feat which appears rare, still nothing is heard abt it. kudos to leander. the best indian player to deserve bharat ratna.

Vinay: Good point. Leander is really a genius, but the general IQ of Rediff fans in this forum would highlight the need for Leander to have retired 10 yrs ago as he has played for too long and is blocking thousands of "youngsters"... ;-)

Leander Paes is the 24th player in ATP history to win 50 doubles titles. Sachin is the first ever crickeer to score 100 international hundreds.
