Not True

Only Statistics form a true and trustworthy judgement on a Cricketers Career. All this hollow and lofty praise does not have any genuineness or depth. He was an awful cricketer who coerced women to convert to his religion and hunted animals and later ran away from authorities.

Those who have seen Pat on the field will have a special attachment to him. In the math of progress of Indian cricket, Pataudi was a legend and the next great would be Kapil Dev. All the rest , till now are also rans. They played the game, but not inspired the team and made that critical difference. Please do not compare. Pataudi is beyond comparison.

wish Pataudi rose above Islamic bigotry and did not insist on conversion of Sharmila Tagore. Pataudi's cousins and uncles went on to hold important anti Indian positions in Pakistan. Gen Isfandar A. Khan Pataudi is slated to be the next ISI chief.

I remember Nawab of Pataudi from my school days in 60's, when we were just learning to know what cricket is. Just Hearing the commentary, Pataudi ruled my heart & soul for years in line. May god rest soul of True TIGER in peace.

he was not much...appeasement and kowtowing to nawabs put him in there as India's captain at 21..a direct insult to senior players..he was an ok cricketer, thats all..a good human being but still a committed Islamist, who converted a Hindu woman and insulted a proud nation...his relatives on the other hand went to Pakistan rose to key anti Indian positions.
