you know what Sachin wants his record intact. He does not want anyone to break it. Soon he will suggest something for test matches too.
Football has not changed its format at least for 40 years and we are still trying to stabilize the game. . We are talking about 20-20, 10-10, white ball, pink ball, 4 day test, multiple innings etc. . Only 8 colonial nations play this game and there is no clear vision. . All these are ample proofs which suggest that football, hockey and other games are far better

football has not changed..? very strange. there has been many changes in football during last two decades..esp the way takling is done, offside rule, backpassing, simultneously playing the game to avoid fixing etc.. may be you are not aware of these mr national madrassi..
Every batsman will have 4 chances in a 50 over match and 2 chances in 20-20 match. . 50 over match will be played for 3 days. . If a batsman takes 2 runs by running, then he will get 3 minutes break. . If any other cricketer haves less than 2000 runs and is nearing his record will be banned by future ICC (BCCI)

But situations are diff. What if it rains in the morning. Run scoring becomes difficult. But might just get easy when the pitch and the ground dries up

There are three reasons for Sachin's suggestion: 1. You already mentioned in your post about he not able to bat/field for complete 50 overs as he is getting old 2. He does not want some one else break his record. Do you remember how much fuss he made to get into opener slot in one dayers just to ensure that he gets maximum number of overs so that he can hit centuries for his records 3. He wants to earn more money by royalty. If ICC accepts his suggestion, he can start charging royalty for each of the one day match played with this idea
