Many people of Azhar's religion believe he had been target because of his religion which is NOT TRUE we are not Pakistan, or Bangladesh to do so, we have so many player whose abilities were well appreciates in Indian team Zaheer, Pathan Brothers, Kaif, Tiger for example, In india Religion never came in sport specially in Cricket, See Pakistan Yousuf Yohanna at one time for 3 years he was highest run getter in Test Matches Calander year and he had to change to islam to be in team, See Danish being the best spinner in team not selected for World Cup matches due to his religion see bangladesh, not a single minority guy in team so please stop this Nonsense Azhar was Match Fixer for which he was punish no Religion in it.
Lele has presented the story as if Azhar and Siddhu met on that tour for the first time. They have been part of the Indian team since 1980s and Siddhu had played under Azhar before as well. Every one who followed the Cricket at that time knows the real reason for Siddhu's returning home. This is a fact (can be checked by looking at the playing eleven of the last match before Siddhu decided to come back) that Siddhu was dropped from the playing 11 for one of the one-day matches. Dropping was OK but being a senior player, he was not even told about it. So once the toss was done and India had to bat first, Siddhu as usual started padding up. At this Azhar who was watching him started laughing. Then a junior player told Siddhu that he is not in the playing eleven and that the list with the names of the playing eleven has been pasted on the door of the dressing room. This offended Siddhu and he decided to come back to India.
we are entitled to believe our own set of analysis..i personally think it can't be one person's job...many other players and even the BCCI personnels are thoroughly involved in it...may be one person is above doubt played in that era, the great sachin tendulkar...
That can not be the reason but knowing azar's involvement in match fixing may be Sidhu opposed it or something like that...anyway azar was darkest chapter in Indian cricket. If u remember he even made 250 crore of his fixing money white back in 99 ! shame on azar.
