India wins series !
by girish bayes on Oct 21, 2011 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

Lets remember - one player doesn't make a team ! It takes 11 of them to work as a unit to excel. Thats what this bunch did, and admirably well !

Granted that if the big guns were present things would have been as good - maybe the wins could have been more comprehensive. But its good we tested the bench strength and these youngsters proved equal to the task.

Watch out seniors ! You have serious competition !

Yes, it's a good win especially after what happened in England. But these youngsters need to prove themselves on different pitches. The likes of Raina should get their technique corrected to give competition to the likes of Sachin, Dravid and Laxman.

Good win for India, and a well deserved one too. I find it hilarious calling a person captain cool after victory and captain fool after defeat!
When will our people learn that it is a team contributed victory? :-)

Of course, same logic applies when we lose also. Why blame one person? :-)

i suggest you ask yourself that because you are always making excuses for dhoni when we win or when we lose...

when we lose you try to find out excuses how dhoni can be blamed for it...

and when we win you try to find out excuses how dhoni can be blamed inspite of it...

Right on the money. He has been doing precisely that under that camouflage of rationality.

Varun, camouflage maybe a word to suit you. Not me. I dont know to speak politically correct statements or polished words. I tell the truth as it is. If it has hurt you, no one can help it. You guys dont have a problem in crediting the wins to Dhoni. But when it comes to losses, you pretend to be unbiased. Very fair huh?

Sunil Vaidya, your uninvited suggestion is best when it is kept with you. Someone like you should not even attempt to advise others, specially after what you told me last week. Because I showed the flaws of Dhoni, you said I am a Sachin fanatic follower, I rate Sachin higher than everyone and such nonsense. First learn how to read properly, then you can give your priceless suggestions for the benefit of mankind. Dhoni maybe everything to you and Varun. But for me, India is above Dhoni, Sachin and every cricketer.

Sunil Gadaiya is obsessed with tendy. He picks his name when anyone and everyone sneezes.

This level of infatuation is ridiculous.

Yes Sameer, very ridiculous. When I mention anything about Dhoni, Vaidya immediately tries to change the topic by blaming me that I am a follower of Sachin. 2-3 weeks back, I had the best moment on Rediff forums when Sunil Vaidya gave a big explanation defending Dhoni's words about "blessing in disguise after losing the match". I have told him 100s of times that it is not any cricketer whom I care for.
I want an Indian win at any cost, I dont care who all are responsible for the win. But this child Vaidya is yet to come out of his obsession and he sees Sachin in whomever I praise like Jadeja/Kohli/anyone. Some kids wont learn however well you teach them, Vaidya is one such prodigy :)

Fair enough. ECB prepared fast tracks for England's win. BCCI returned the favour.

better still the english bowlers take lessons in bowling from their counterparts in India, or else import slow tracks from India.

Absolutely true.... 1 -day is all abpout sharp fielding and fitness and enthusiasm...without sachin, sewag, zaheer, yuvaraj, harbhajan it is treamendous performance. In england they could not player full 50 overs because of which india lost and also without proper preparation for the tour...
Dhoni leadership quality is admirable...

Well done Dhoni without so-called best batsman Mr. Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin should quite now. Sachin has occupied a space of new incomming talented cricketman. Sachin never & could not play under burden. He plays only to make his carrier with number of tonnes. Gambhir, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Raina are the real hero...
