We need 2 more for the black wash, right?
by Another Critic on Oct 21, 2011 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

Winning 3-0 and the series is a mini black wash too, right? Oh btw, no Sachin, no Viru, no Yuvi, no Zaheer, this is a second rung Indian team.

I can't believe this pathetic England team who never won a world cup or never came close to winning a world cup are No.1 in tests. It's a shame to the game of cricket.

Hope Anna Hazare& all patriots MAKE a National Agitation to BAN Boring&Time-wasting&ANTI_national&anti-development TEST CRICKET Forever.Exciting IPL matches and Even OneDay Matches and T20 match in England comapred to boring&time-wasting Test Cricket MUST Open the Eyes of Fans&Government NOW.India&ALL Poor countries Must BAN Test Cricket &PLay Only ODI& short cricket Matches to prevent more poverty,misery&under-development. Cricket Fans&Sponsors MUST Dump Test Crciket in interest of the development of the Nation &to increase productivity of the citizens too.The Time-wasting Test Cricket, 3 Day Crciket, etc was invented by crooked British Colonizers, like inventing Mahatma gandhee, the british double agent&non-violence to make People of Colonies Lazy&Morrons&vegtables& POOR Forever. The ODI matches&T20 match provided thrilling Cricket Unlike the Monotonous& Time-Wasting TEST CRICKET which has wasted Millions of man or woman hours of our country& MADE US POORER too&this wastage of millions of working hours has been happending for the past 500 years& MORE& that is why we indians are 50 years behind China which does NOT have this anti-national time-westing game of TEST CRICKET.What a shame that WE have NOT BANNED such a time-wasting game as TEST CRICKET&NOT enacted the law which states that ONLY ODI or short versions oc criket macthes MUST be played ONLY During Holidays or week-ends!

you were simply superb yesterday..you really managed the crisis very well without showing any signs of excitement...even after victory. You deserve to be captain till your retirement.

India will fare ppor overseas and fare well at home.
Apni Galee mein Sher.

Should bring an end to this by preparing home pitches fast and bouncy as the overseas pitches and Indian youngsters to practise on those. The vice versa is not possible.

This is the only way can hope to regain and retain no 1 position .

Do you know what the word " HYPOCRISY" means ? Please look it up and use it as your last name.

No one asked england or other teams to fare badly in India right ? Why do teams like England, Aus, South Africa, WI prepare FAST Pitches ? Why not prepare slow ones ?

Every Country prepares pitches to favour its home team. DIMWIT

There was only one six

Chasing down 299 with just one six and 22 fours is an incredible achievement. Almost 2 thirds if the score was ran between the wickets

so we made 300 twice so far in this series without sachin, sehwag, yuvraj...

one while setting a target and once while chasing a target...

once when we were around 123 for 4 in about 29.4 overs and we reached 300

and once we made 300 while chasing when our 5 specialist batsmen were out and we needed 65 runs in about 8 overs...

There will always be critics who say BCCI prepared / prepares pitches to suit India. Which country will not do? We all know every team is stronger at home and takes pride when they win in the opponent's den.

If BCCI had prepared only to help India, have they not scored 298 loosing only 4 wickets? In a way, the pitch helped England batting too.

It is the disciplined bowling by the youngsters which made some difference. India gave just 3 extras as against the 17 conceeded by the English bowlers. In what way was the pitch responsible for this?

Indian fielders, thanks to their agility, are diving and stopping the boundaries which would have saved some runs. Why can't the Englishmen also do the same? Why blame it on the pitch conditions?

There are some saying that MSD is taking the credit for the performance of the youngsters. They all should read what he had been saying about these youngsters before criticizing him.

Certainly, in the last few matches, including few in Engalnd, he had been performing with the bat too coming in lower in the order. He too can take some credit for "finishing" it off. Nothing wrong in it.

You go and ask Rediff. You think any sane person would repeat a message 3,4 times?

If you want to discuss on my views, pls do that rather than asking such questions.

BENCH STRENGTH SHOULD BE TESTED
by damodaran mohan on Oct 21, 2011 12:23 PM

When the series started no one thought it would be as easy as the facile 3-0 series win suggest. While not taking away any credit from the young Indian side it must be accepted that no one expected the English to play as badly as they are playing.Any way India should be happy to get a young new opener in the form of A Rahane.First he had a good opening stand with p patel and then the more important 2nd wicket partnership with Gambhir which actually paved way for the win ultimately. One can't ask for more from this young side w/o all the superstars. It is good that Dhoni is thinking of giving chance to all sitting in the bench. The way the englishmen are playing one or two changes in the playing XI might not affect the result.
