The wicket was prepared for Sachins 100

but it back fired after India lost the toss and WI's poor quality batting looked like a fierce one on this FLAT track. But even then Sachin could till have got out India batting first bcoz he lost his wicket not to a great ball but for being under pressure.

Wrong. The wicket was prepared for Sehwag and Ashwin's 100... Prove me wrong!

The battle between bat and ball has to be equal from day 1. It was such a dead pitch for 3 days that batsman could close their eyes and play. Had the pitch not crumbled last 2 days the macth would have made everyone sleep

Your message is in bad taste. I am a Tamilian myself and am ashamed of what you have posted. Can't we think beyond the confines of regionalism, caste etc?

ASHWIN MUST ALLOW BOWLING TO DO THE TALKING
by damodaran mohan on Nov 27, 2011 01:47 PM

Ashwin is a young talented cricketer and could be starting a very successful career. It is important that his bowling does most of his talking and should avoid such rash comments w/o much reflection. He should be careful with use of his words and be guarded when he speaks to press especially when he feels at the top of the world with exceptional success with bowling.

Ashwin wanted spinning wicket so that this ordinary bowler appear as worldclass offspinner. Lets see how Ashwin spins the ball on Australian & South African pitches.

Immature comment by Ashwin & well replied by Sudhir Naik.

His grouse was there was nothing in it for the bowlers so it was not a "sporting" wicket. The rest are your assumptions!

>>Immature comment by Ashwin & well replied by Sudhir Naik.

Agreed.

BTW, what about those who crib that this wicket was under-prepared for Sachin's 100th 100? :)

Ashwin was surprised by the lack of bounce, not spin. By the way this match would have meandered into a dull draw if the spinners had not set it up, with some help from the West Indies batsman, so the criticism was possibly valid. Why should'nt there be criticism? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Fact is curators in India haven't produced good wickets for a long time, which is why the younger players are finding it very hard overseas.

Best Wicket
by Makya on Nov 27, 2011 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

This was the best wicket of all 3 test matches. You can't have better match waiting for result till last bowl on 5th day.

No idea Ashwin defended 5th delivery. Also slow running & runout off last bowl leaks fair bit of suspicion for fixed draw match.

Sure it does. Also Kohli's dismissal when all it needed was sensible batting!

but not this likker Ashwin...

He is a medium pace bowler who just got lukky to prove his worth on spin frndly Indian wickets and against a weaker side like the WIs...

His inability to take wickets in the 1st innings of the WIs is a proof of what am saying...

Ashwin is a wastte and will make way for the King "Bhajji",,,very soon...
